Laura Combo/Tech Thread

Pretty interesting tech. By the way cr.lp > st.lk gets you in the perfect range for cr.mp ONLY if the opponent is crouching, if the opponent is standing cr.mp whiffs

So I looked for a string that beats both crouching and standing and got this :

Mp clap will trade in the corner and ex clap will trade mid screen, you get the confirm in both cases

Alright so I made tests yesterday and it works, only in V-trigger though. It works consistently against most of the cast (mid screen). When the jump in lands right above Laura’s shoulder, you can anti-air with st mp xx vskill back-forward and she’ll cross them under.

What does CH and CC mean?

CH = counter-hit
CC = crush counter

I made another video, this one’s about getting pressure with s. mk. I’ve been frustrated with not being able to sustain my offense without taking major risks after certain knockdown situations so this is demonstrating that doing walk up s mk followed by thunderclap shenanigans can be a good way to keep the pressure on. Also included is a neat little OS with s lk xx lp bolt charge that blows up chun’s crouching jab.

Do people know about 5MK xx V-Skill Backdash xx Super? It’s an amazing combo and I’m surprised I haven’t seen it mentioned before:

If you’re playing oki with Laura and make the opponent block s.MP, what kind of mixup should you go for afterward that won’t just flat out lose to mashing?

you should’ve done something else

If it’s blocked you can whiff st mk xx forward vskill. It will beat most of their stuff if they mash and you’ll be in their face again at +1 (on counterhit).
Otherwise you can cr mk xx fireball and continue your pressure.
If they block, dash grab/throw

I’ve modified the post now, but it would have been easier to just change to one of the other themes than using Photoshop :stuck_out_tongue:

Want to know what the best punish or Crush Counter combo Laura has? Any character-specific combos to maximize your damage? What’s the best no-meter combo you can do? Farthest corner carry? All of these questions can be answered here.
