Laugh and Link: The Adon Combo Thread

Why are combos so inconsistent and character dependent with Adon? Do any other characters have this issue? It just seems strange to me.

My theory is that rising jag has funky hitboxes combined with just general character specific hitbox weirdness. We all know the more normals you put into a combo, the more characters wind up shoved back (and as nfox mentioned, c.strong will shove opponents WAY back…but that’s always been part of the strength of that move in Alpha…less combo fodder more footsie/shove pressure off…I’m going off point now). The more you shove, the more likely RJ is going to miss.

I mean, I wish we had Cody BnB’s, but I don’t see it happening (oh yeah…still early). IMO safest bet is shortest road to short Rising Jag.

if you’re doing any ground combo into fadc uc2 its best to use lk rising jaguar for 2 reasons

  1. the distance allows you to combo into lk rising jaguar whereas hk rising jaguar will whiff
  2. the first hit of lk rising jaguar is 80. first hit of hk rising jaguar is 50. only the first his can be FADC’d

Does anyone know if Adon’s Jump in MK xx Jag kick actually will even come out? I know the jumping neutral will; however, I recall during the trailer where Adon was debuted along with Guy and Dudley that during the reel portion of Adon I saw it.

I’m 99% positive neutral jump forward is the only air normal that will cancel into air JK. Even then, I can only 2-in-1 it on the way down (would be nice if you could 2-in-1 on the way up…would make for a nice wake up shenanigan tool :P). Actually…I just realized I never tried it on large characters…hrm???

Only works with neutral MK xx JK. Jump in with MK x JK doesn’t work.
