does doom have a corner to corner carry combo? (w/out assts) what doom combo is also the best to do?

While back now I posted you could use j.S to whiff after a blocked air string to land early and cancel pushblock to stay in. Below is an improved way of doing it. The idea is to push S right before you land. This gives you the pushback negation without letting all the startup frames on j.S complete. The delay from the normal is reduced to almost zero, whereas before you had the full startup and travel and recovery (about 15 frames)

I suspect practicing the S prior to landing on hit or block will let Doom stay in more often and make his rushdown more menacing. The frame penalty is minimal so using it as part of a regular hit confirm looks promising.
In the corner it is fantabulous. Midscreen it reduces the distance but it is not game breaking. Least not yet.

you have to call in the assist as late as possible

You can do this more easily by mashing on j.M. If you mash on j.M the the j.M will only hit once and then you’ll whiff another j.M which forces you to the floor faster.
Yes, that is pretty much true. there does seem to be slightly better frame advantage using the whiffed S though. I don’t have the game now to go through it again but I did compare it to a one hit j.m.
I honestly forget if there was any advantage if the opponent doesn’t pushblock both hits of j.m. I know with the one hit j.m method you cannot easily connect a trijump j.L during their 22 frames of pushblock. With the whiffed S I was able to do it pretty consistent. Again, I forget what happens if you pushblock only once, or even delay the push as long as possible.
I’m pretty mixed as to whether whiffing the S is a useful technique.
Yeah I would probably just use it to set up an attack/throw 50/50 after I dash in.

I just started running a team with Doom anchor, and honestly, I feel like the anchor Vergil and anchor Strider matchups are nigh-un winnable, especially Strider. I regularly play against who I would consider one of the best Striders. This guy maintains constant safe pressure with endless mixups. He’ll never do raw Vajira :h:. He generally only teleports after throwing a satellite or when I’m up in the air and can’t see him teleport. Needless to say, I get mixed up and thrown a LOT and I’m finding it extremely difficult to find holes and tech his throws. He’s always option selecting with H. Don’t even get me started on Ouroboros. Basically, if he avoids my incoming mixup, I’m usually done for. I am so free to this Strider with Doom. Halp.
I may be late on this but I’ve also never seen this anywhere but I was messing with Doom in training mode, well kinda, but I accidentally crossover countered into missiles while I was trying to input a reversal dragon punch from block. Doom came out and did molecular shield instead of missiles. Just to verify I attempted it again and sure enough he was about to fire off a missile then canceled into molecular shield. I’m not sure what use this may have for him, or if this is even new but it’s there.

any other characters that have a super like ammy that doom can abuse in a THC to do mixups ?
To an extent he can with storm but not to the same effect as hers is a lot shorter than ammy’s

You can get get a somewhat similar THC > xfactor > combo with Dr Strange by immediately xfactoring Doom’s super and superjumping, but it doesn’t last long enough to be a good mixup
with any super or storms?
oh sorry I misread dr strange for dr doom lol. I see I will def try it out but you also cant use Dante with his super?
