Chili mac is… well… macaroni with chili sauce. It comes as an entree in MRE’s, and since people liked it so much they even make it and serve it at our mess halls sometimes. It’s one of those classic military eats.
The rain has been crazy in Hawaii lately… flash flooding, lightning, and thunder. The rain was coming down hard enough to set off my car alarm. Crazy.

Hey late night, long time no see.
This is my first appearance back to SRK in a while… I’ve been mad busy what with getting married and traveling everywhere and preparing for my deployment. If you read the military thread I am here at Camp Lemonier in Djibouti.
I’m happy that I made my way back here. I guess I had forgot that SRK has been my home away from home for a couple of years now.

That’s insane you are getting married, you and Ronin lol. Congratulations on that, I know that is always a good feelin to know you have someone good. Everything is good with me, just trying to finish up school and get real life started.

Actually, I’ve been married since June. I will be in Africa until about May-ish. Glad to hear you are still in school. That’s good and keep it up! I am going to try to take some courses here if I can online. How’s life?
Life is good man, I’m in Athens now but in no way a UGA fan. Still reppin Auburn :]. I’m about to move to Macon and finish up school and save a little cash. Military treating you good? You have been to more places already than I will my entire life which is awesome.
Not true… you will go different place. Besides, Maryland and Djibouti were about the LAST places I would have ever thought I’d go to by joining the Navy.

Nice to hear from you, tondashocka. If I can give you any advice on going to school online - don’t do the University of Phoenix. They are shit. Most colleges offer online courses now, so just find a school that you like and see if they have an online program now, because they most likely do. University of Phoenix is geared to take as much TA as possible from the Army, which means you run out of that 100% TA fast, since there is a limit on it unless you choose to top off with your GI Bill… You shouldn’t be topping off until you are done with your associates or bachelors. I speak about the Army though, so it might be different in other branches how the TA system works… but it doesn’t change that the University of Phoenix sucks.
Hm, I lived on Fort Ord when I was a tyke… and my parents didn’t get that far in the Army but my Uncle’s a Chief in the AF…
So unfortunately, someone broke into one of my cars last night. It was my Miata - they cut into the soft top and stole the stereo and subwoofer, a bunch of small things inside the car, then tried to steal the car by breaking into the steering column but broke the end of a screwdriver off in the ignition. The police came, I called USAA, tried to move the car into a secure area but couldn’t start it because of the ignition. USAA couldn’t find any towers who would pick up the phone because of Thanksgiving, so I finally got a call this morning saying they found someone.
All this 3 days before I go on leave and even better - my birthday is tomorrow. Great.
Damn. That sucks.

Just got back from the auto repair place and they said because all the wiring is ripped up, they will have to take it to an electrical specialist just to rewire everything. The alarm was ripped out along with every other single wire in the car. Bunch of amateurs couldn’t even do the job nicely.
I’ll be flying back to California for a vacation in the morning… and I’m still packing.
Yeah something similar happen to me also…The dude tried breaking into my car but instead damage the ignition. The dude stole my cellphone charger & threw all my paperwork stuff in puddle of water. What’s weird is the guy didn’t take my cellphone but just the charger…
