But nooooo, I’m stuck here doing nothing and they won’t let me go home. No body told them to pay us military folks salary style. Working on my car this weekend… going to take it to a car show with a friend. A long 4 day… hah, my First Sergeant was being a dick about my promotion to sergeant. Just for that, I’m making sure I invite a bunch of my friends from brigade who I work for to the ceremony, since I overheard my First Sergeant calling me lazy and not deserving the promotion… that asshole. Next Friday, I officially get pinned Sergeant Yu.

And now… you get payed twice as much as I do(not really but)… :tup: :sad:
But uhm, next pay check I should be seeing E-3 on my LES. I’d like to get that shit pinned within the next week and a half.
Hmm… let’s do some math here, because I’m bored…
You will be E-3 with less than 2 years of service, you should get around $1460, without COLA and all that… I will be E-5 with 3 years of service, which means my base pay is right around $1970. Before COLA and BAS and what not, I only make about $510 dollars more. That’s not that much of a difference, especially since you do get that $150 or so for jump pay. Big difference in responsibility for the most part, but very little difference in pay.
Either way, I’m still jealous of the contractors who work side by side with me who get paid $95000 a year. 3 more years, and I will be one of them too…

Operation Condor came out on DVD. If you can’t find it in any American stores, just order it from YesAsia.com and get the import version that is all region.
Dang, i guess it’s not really that much of a difference.
I know some folks that would get massive amounts of BAH, during the training stages. That’s wild. That would REALLY benefit someone with long training paths.
Also, aswell as the jump pay, I should get language pay too when I take the DLPT on a later date, for Farsi. I scored a 1+ on the speaking portion, if that’s any indication then I could be getting paid around $300 or $400 for that.
Shit man, i’m jealous of that too. I wonder how much the language instructers get paid here, that’s supposed to be alot also.
Another DVD that i’ve been wanting to get is Addams Family Values. I know, i know, it’s not as good as the first Addams, but i enjoyed it. Haven’t seen any stores around here with that.
Instructor pay isn’t that much… it’s like Drill Sergeant or Recruiter pay, IIRC… only about $150 a month more. If I were to move back offpost and get BAH, you would get really jealous. For E-5, I get about $1500 to play with when it comes to rent… get a $800 apartment and pocket the rest. I’m probably going to stay on post for a bit longer though, until I get my car to where I want it. I don’t want to worry about rent and deposits and such.
Went to a crazy nice party last night. Everyone is back home from college and I got to see some old friends.
Tried to put the mack down with this one girl cause she’s was giving me the eye (my friends confirmed it too so I’m not crazy). Talked to her for a bit and then she bounced to her friends house. She said that she would come back but it never happened. I did get her number though so all is not lost.
Finally, I’m slowly starting to realize that a majority of my friends I’ve made in college are just fake. People I thought I were close with aren’t a damn thing. It’s ridiculous.
