Laser beam?

For one, sentinel’s laser beam is often used like a GB, like when the opponent comes out, sentinel quickly crouches and hp’s. Sometimes it connects, and I was wondering if its a GB.

Another GB for sentinel is (when you’re in unfly mode) fly, unfly, hp / launch.

For storm also i see, sj.lp, pause, ad d, hk, /, launch.

My question here is are these guard breaks, guard breaks? Or are they really unblockable? - Thanks in advance

sent’s cr. hp isn’t a guard break… its an unblockable… it doesn’t matter if you guard or not, if the unblockable hits you, it raises you up and the rocket punch connects…

Is it seriously unblockable? Can someone elaborate on this?

From what i see, it goes:
-When you are standing, quickly crouch down and let the tip of the laser whiff the opponentxxrpxxhsf.

Does it go loike that?

sent’s hp hits twice randomly, so the unblockable is actually a 50/50 chance. and they also have to “land” on the beam as it’s disappearing (or wakeup into it).

Thats why, sometime i won’t connect (actually most of the time). But people who time it right should come out as an unblockable right?

If sometime explain the whole process that’d be cool

Sents crouching mouth laser hits twice - you want them to land on the beam as its thinning out (theres no block animation for the 2nd part of the beam as it dissapears).
It ain’t 50/50 either.

Maybe you should stop being lazy and search the old sentinel threads as it was covered ad nauseum.

MagnetoManiac: If you can time the c. HP that it connects with the very last few frames, it will be unblockable. A perfect time to do this would be after a snapback, or after you kill your opponent’s point chracter/as the new character is coming onscreen.

The easiest characters to do this on are Psylocke and Magneto. I’d suggest trying the unblockable from about half a screen away, because it will be easier to connect a rocket punch xx super afterwards than it will be from full screen.

You can also unblockable someone as they wake up from flying screen. In the corner, you can:
launch, sj. lk xx rocket punch [flying screen activated] sj fp, sj hk [otg], land, pause, c. hp [unblockable] xx rocket punch xx hsf.

it works because of the two hits… the laser disappears, but there’s still a hitbox on the screen. you fall into it, but since the laser is just about gone, the game doesn’t let you block the laser, because it doesn’t register as thre being anything on the screen to block

it’s always unblockable, and the second hit is random. it’s the extra hitbox that’s on the screen, that the game doesn’t let you block. the extra hitbox only appears after the first one misses, but in some cases, it appears even if the first one hits. the second hit is random, but if the first hitbox misses, it always appears. the game doesn’t let you block the second hitbox
