Large MvC2 and CvS2 cabinets now @ Westbury Nathans, Long Island

Just to give some of you Long Island players a heads up. I will just copy and paste what I wrote from our thread.

Dropped by Nathans yesterday and this is what I saw:
-Large machine mvc2 and cvs2 next to each other. Think of CTF.
-Both machines has convex comp buttons and ultimate sticks but the rightside of marvel has 2 buttons ghettoly replaced by concaves, haha. I’ll be happy to donate a pair of convexes.

MvC2 machine:
-The settings in mvc2 are normal, so no 1 ahvb = death BS.
-Monitor is kinda dark and volume low. But other than that the machine is nice.

CvS2 machine:
-The settings in cvs2 are normal (hooray Ren).
-The machine is loud as shit… why are all cvs2 machines so damn loud?
-But controls are spread out and tilted towards the machine, so you have to face the screen in a slight angle to stand square to the controls… and the sticks are tall but I have bearing sleeve to shorten them (Ren, I think that’s why you had trouble with the sticks). Other than that everything works and the machine is nice.

Overall I’m very impressed by what they did. The machines exceeded my expectations.

The next tourney should be at Nathans.

So now LI finally has a “spot”.

And i suggest everyone support it since they manager there is willing to listen. at least go once a week for 15 min. so he knows people are interested, then he might get rid of the other old games and bring some new stuff in.

Next weekend im gonna drop by… well all work something out. Only thing is that I think SB is just as good an mvc2 spot (:

I happened to see Syn over there, and we’re thinking of having a tourney in 2 weeks just to get the place started. Whoever is down to come, post in the thread.

Yep yep. Tourney will be on Sat, Nov 5th. MvC2 and CvS2. Galaga also if you’re interested . Post if you’re coming.

well since there was no interest and i barely see anyone playing at nathan’s i just gave up. Also the fact that the controls on cvs are slanted didn’t help either, i just can’t get used to playing like that. Green Acres is the only place to play
