no offence danny, but i barely remember what happened last week let alone 5 years ago, so you might be right, i might be making it all up. in my head that’s how it was.
we will never truley know who was the best in laredo back then since, no one was smart enuff to organize a tournament. the closest thing to a tournament was that one time Somone posted a flyer at the arcade and (this is what I HEARD HAPPEND) that someone just took the money or something and never held the tournament.

i cant truly judge pablos skill at THAT time, because i only played him 3 times, and the whole time he was saying “man, throws are cheap, u know in evo, if you throw more then twice in a row, its considered cheap, and the crowed boos you out”, he kept trying to tell me how the game should be played, lol even thou he couldnt touch me.
my thoughts on fighting games and how they should be played is, find your own style, and play to win no mater how you win, a win is a win, unless, its trough an exploitable glitch, like guiles handcuffs or whatever, something that was clearly not intentionally put in the game that totaly breaks it.
like by todays standards it would be something like , DHC glitch in marvel 3
