It’s not an issue with the game, it’s an issue with the Wii. It only outputs 480p, and since the native resolution of 95% of Plasma/LCDs is 720p or 1080p, then there will be a delay.
There are a few exceptions, however. You can get a CRT HDTV which can do 480p native and 1080i native. You can also get a 37" or 42" Plasma with a 1024x768 native resolution and there will still be a delay, but it is extremely small and only noticeable by a very very very small percentage of people. I have a 42" Plasma with 1024x768 and TvC is near perfect.
This is one case I’m glad I have a standard TV… PAL RGB is good enough for me when I can use it, I’m actually suprised at how good the picture is on my TV. Still no good for 360 games, like Dead Rising and it’s miniscule text, but for low res fighters, it’s perfect…
Yeah, my TV does 480p, 720p, and 1080i natively and there isn’t any lag.
Most new HDTV’s have a special setting to get rid of the lag. If it’s an older HD then you need an 80 dollar setup to counteract the problem.
Can you tell me what is that 80 dollar setup, where to find it, and what it does!!??
With TvC I’m really not getting the lag effects ( I have a plasma 42" Samsung with support up to 1080i, have the Wii connected with the official nintendo component cable set to 480p) but with other games like SC3, I’m feeling it very strongly, more so with the HDMI cable, not that badly with the component cable (I think is because of the digital conversion)
Thx in advance
