That was awesome knight, cool video. Everyone knows gl0ry is the man, that was a good fight.
After only two days of playing, here are a couple of my observations regarding the game to spark some discussion:

It seems like MT has the crappiest lows of the game. All the other styles have pretty decent lows that go under highs and either knockdown (BJ, TC, TK), or give combo opportunities (JD). MT doesn’t have something like this except to spam 2P or 2K.

Also, I wish this game has a reverse crouch dash ala VF4 to avoid highs while backdashing (to make it balanced, they can still get hit by mids and lows).

BJ is too fucking crazy powerful. Counter hit swaying shoulder smash = 1/3 life gone WTF?

JD is definitely hard to win with as of now. I give props to people that win high level matches with JD.

TC seems to have a lot of potential with mixups into AoP stance stuff. If someone can implement those mixups, they can make a top tier style more broken.

Sidestepping sucks in this game. Or I’m not using it correctly or something… It would be dope if they have evading attacks ala VF4 to stop string spammers. Of course, they could balance it out by it having bad recovery on block or something.

MT WGF (QCF+P) can lead to big damage (46P, [4]P,P,K), but the range of the WGF is piss poor; it would’ve been great if it could go under highs, but guess not… The next best alternative is 66K+G, P,P+K,K or something like that, but damage isn’t that hot though.

Also, in that gl0ry vs. Severed match, did I just see (with BJ) a normal standing K into a P,K combo? Unless that first standing K was counter hit…

Overall, my attempts at playing this- I was impressed- though I felt the game needs more “Stuff”. Then again, it is an early beta- so with time I"m sure it will come.
I like the idea- and would buy it if it came out, though a monthly fee would make me reconsider (I won’t buy games with monthly fees)
The game is 100% free in pretty much every form and fashion. It’s gonna be that way even when it’s released.
Tiger, BJ and JD are still the hardest to win with at the moment. BJ is powerful but all their moves have long start up frames. We’re all about counter hits and if we can’t get any off it’s extremely difficult to win.

Baji CH K+G, PK is a combo…MT has something like that also with 2K+G.

For those interested I found a way to have your own background music in.
The default directory is:
C:\ijji\ENGLISH\U_KwonHoOnline\MUSIC\
In there you will find the following files:

stage4.ogg
stage5.ogg
stage6.ogg
Title1.ogg
You can pretty much guess which music is for which. I do not know why stage4,5,6.ogg is in lowercase “s”. I do know I’ve never heard them before, perhaps they’re the Mission modes?
Anyways, I downloaded a plug-in to be able to play .ogg in Windows Media Player / BSPlayer / etc. located here:

Then I downloaded a program that can convert MP3s to OGG, so far it’s converted one fine and seems easily navigatable:

After getting the conversion I’m pretty sure all it would take is to rename the files “Stage1.ogg” and to make a folder called “OLDBGM” to move the old ones in there (backups are good ;-)).

Howdy folks, I’ve been playin Kwonho for the past 3 days (A grand total of 15 hours experience), and it rules. I posted this over in the Kwonho forum, but it also seems like a fairly good idea to post it here, since this seems to be the general grouping of badassedness.
My question is thus: As a MT (Shiggity), I get my clock cleaned regularly by BJ’s. My tactics to stop this madness are rather limited; as of now I use the Punch > Kick for the mid height kick, K+G, and Down+Kick…and that’s about it. Baji just manages to whup me down somethin awful, just wanted some tips to suck less hard than I already do.
Also, what’s this tournament I see speak of? I’d love to get beatdown by higher skill folks, if it’s alright…

Although this is scrubby, you can stop BJ by being CLOSE and using the 6P,4P 2-hit mid combo (overhead punch, hook – forward P, back P). That eats leg cutters. Make sure you do it every so often to remind them not to use it, then go crazy with your shit like knees, uppercuts and assorted damage. Remind the BJ player that he shouldn’t get crazy with the cutters by using your 6P4P every so often.
6P4P also RINGS OUT if you hit someone with it against the wall. :lovin:

Also you can sidestep everything bj has besides that one mid kick.

yeah that may be an idea, I may just throw the regulars in the bracket and then force them to be in it

We have 4 hours to play the game, so it’s not that big of a deal, depends on how many people decide they want to play.
We could set up two different room, two different people running it, and two people recording matches, and then have the finals in one room or something.
i can do the brackets if you want. matches don’t take long, we could get everything done within a couple of hours as long as everyone for the tournament is present by 6pm.
LOL this isn’t cvs2. The tourney shouldn’t even take more than 2 hrs to finish with double elim.
