So the 3S remake is just for the fans then?
I’ll ignore the part where you say I’m confused. :china:

You’re crazy if you think there’s enough interest in the game to warrant that kind of operation. Do you think Capcom is paying them to upload videos? It was all about money when the game was out for a few years. Now? No I don’t think so. It’s kept alive in spite of SF4 because some people found the game they love and don’t care about what else Capcom puts out.
On Capcom’s end it’s all about money but once it’s in the communities hand it can be about anything.
3SOE is obviously a money grab to capitalize on a giant new pool of street fighter players. What that has to do with game centers in Japan uploading videos of 3S is beyond me. If you think there’s some direct connection/conspiracy you’re a sad individual.
Conspiracy? Sad individual?
You say it can be about anything and yet money is not a logical conclusion. Interesting.
Let’s not take things to extremes. If there is even one person making money doing (which I’m sure there is) this then the statement holds true, even if only partially.
im guessing i missed this?
is there a youtube video capture by any chance?
Nah dude. That’s alright. I’m too easily trolled I guess. I should realize when people want to simply antagonize on the internet.
Your statement would be taken by probably most people to mean the main focus of these videos is to produce money. I don’t think that’s true. There isn’t enough of a market to make any kind of legitimate money more than compensation for the effort to produce stuff in the first place. If you think producing DVDs of Kuroda is a method to make money more than it is a method to keep people interested in the 3S scene then you’re just a cynical person. Keeping interest keeps money coming in which is what must be paid to maintain an arcade. Saying “It’s all about money” is incorrect. Saying money is involved is completely true but money is simply a means to an end. Do you honestly think the small arcades that have mostly 3S machines are doing it simply to turn a profit? That’s all well and good just don’t expect to be taken seriously. I’ll just regard anything you post as a troll attempt because I don’t think I’ve seen you post anything of any kind of value.
Right back at you bro. Antagonization unintended. Alternate perspective is all.
The only question I have about kurodas DVD is why MOV isn’t mentioned when he’s featured 25% of the DVD. Nice of you to once again make a judgement, though. About the arcades, they’re obviously turning profit or they wouldn’t be open. You can’t take money out of the equation.
This is the point where I could throw out insults about your desire to see things from your single perspective. That’d be the typical internet thing to do, right? I’ll just say, think about it.
Probably because they are “kuroda” DVDs.
With the insane rent prices in Japan (Tokyo especially) the game center owners are not doing this to make any significant profit.
You are very very confused.
There you go with the “confused” again. It is very possible for me to have misinterpreted the intentions of people uploading video footage. Possible. This does not equate with confusion. Insulting exaggerative argumentative style seems to be your forté. If you can’t attack the argument, attack the person? Kudos.
Significant profit? Okay…How have you come to determine what constitutes a significant profit? Do you know how much they make in profit? Have you ever heard of catering to a niche? Would an arcade stay open if it were loosing money?
I could ask these types of questions all day. At some point you have to admit, the money matters.
I get your angle but you’re really just arguing to argue at this point. No we don’t know everything, of course we could all be wrong. Arguing that is moot, we could go on for days and it’d be completely pointless.
You just said that yourself. So why bring it up? Everyone knows money matters. That’s a given. That isn’t what you said to begin with and if it was just your choice of words then whatever, case closed.
Bottom line is they don’t just do this for the money like you implied.
Would game versus still be there if it wasn’t for all the free vids you watch on Nico every week? Yes.
Would it still be there if they never made any kuroda DVDs? Yes.
They are putting the vids for you and all of us. So you should just be grateful.
Warp what? I wasn’t addressing you, or even referencing your MOV post.
Money is not the sole reason the game exists. Money helps the game to exist, but is just one factor (the other important one being love, as already mentioned).
@circle masher
Don’t worry about it. It was a play on Virtual Fighters post. I was gonna type something after but forgot. Too late at night.
I brought it up because of all the talk about how we should be grateful, by a certain member. It’s a give and take. But yeah… kinda moot.
@Let Blood Run
The bottom line is that I PAID for the DVD that I should feel grateful for. It’s a product; as made clear by the stigma facing those who would dare share it. You’re being presumptuous in thinking I watch videos on Nico every week. Maybe I should. Know any good Elena players to look out for? You’re talking about ??? right?
Also, my question is a valid one. I learned more from watching MOV than Kuroda when it comes to Elena. So, what’s the harm in asking why he gets no mention?
If Japan played for money we’d be seeing 100x more Chun/Yun/Kens in videos. Thank goodness gambling is illegal here, right?
(for the record, you don’t win money in Japanese slots/pachinko)
DVDs cost 300¥. Take into account you’re getting hours of kuroda matches, what’s there to complain about?
Why does it matter if mov is mentioned in it? If anything it’s bonus right since you learned more.
Price is irrelevant. Asking why and complaining aren’t always synonymous.
Rhetorical at its best.
if by best you mean subpar
not really digging this ropsta fellow
