My friends and I would like to come to this, about 4 of us from Utah. We’ll fly in. Are you expecting Westcoast Warzone size tourney or something alot more smaller and local? We would love to come to this.

Seems to be on Saturday and Sunday, and I’m sure you are working out details concerning time event will be done and so forth. My friends and I could come Thursday night however we would need to leave by Sunday night (5 pm), you think SF4 would be done by then?

Kai did a great job at WCW in making the brackets, he tried his best to keep ppl of skill andl ocation away from each other. My only suggestion would be to do pre-reg only as they got destroyed by same day registrations. Just a thought.

You do realize 1/2 of nor cal was in pools 7,8, and 9 alone? You could have pulled names out of a hat and done a better job about making sure brackets were balanced in all honesty, no offense to kai. He’s a cool guy but definitely didn’t care enough about nor cal to do brackets right.

everyone except like 2 people pre-reg. I know NCR has plans on making sure brackets will be fairly done. No worries for out of towners! Looking forward to seeing team utah again!
We expect NCR to be of similar size to Warzone.
SF4 is the main event and will be the final game on Sunday. Hence 5PM is not likely. Our target is to finish everything around 8PM. We will follow similar format as EVO and run quals on Sat and finals on Sunday.
For various reasons, we will not eliminate on site registration. But brackets will be made prior to the weekend using online reg info. We will do our best to separate by region. I highly recommend pre-reg as it will mean a lower reg fee and facilitate in making fair brackets.
Note that completed brackets will start running soon as possible on Saturday to avoid the time issues that Warzone had. But this also means on site registrants have a higher chance of ending up in the same bracket with their friend. So even more reason to pre-reg.
We will finalize the game list next week. Details of pre-reg and discounted hotel rates will follow.

but if you guys have the hotel location on friday night, you could run pre reg friday night before. that way by saturday morning you can have every bracket done.

Choiboy, you know when details concerning systems, monitors etc will be announced. I think the stream was great however WCW was limited due to bandwidth. I hope you guys have better luck with the bandwidth. My Utah friends really enjoyed watching.

So NCR will use the same setups from EVO meaning PS2, PS3, and ASUS monitors.
Note that we’ll be unlocking all characters using standard methods so that, “You did not earn a trophy” message will not appear and hinder gameplay.
We are planning to do live stream on Sunday. The hotel has provided extra bandwidth for our event so hopefully the stream turns out nicely.
