@Sanada-kun i’m very blunt when it come to arcade stick and how they perform. To me it almost doesn’t what the body is as long as it’s wide enough.
the omni fightstick is mostly like good fightstick, solid, heard it was heavy, and 8/10 just about 90% of modern fightsticks. but the main benefit i think you’re going to get out it is just to be able to mount a fanta.
if you really want to spend about $250 (199.00 + shipping) i would just get a custom made fightstick or put more money into the one(s) you have. i just don’t believe the omni is worth it unless you’re going to buy it for the name.
I would think another advantage the omni has is it comes with the Brook’s Universal Fighting board. So you have cross platform compatibility right off the bat. Js.
Thanks for all the info guys. I don’t really like the idea of buying a used stick and yeah if I did get the etokki I would just be using it for T7 on PS4.
@Sanada-kun i only buy used sticks from all the sticks.
i only had one stick of the 20 i had where pcb went out.
at the time was going to buy a ps360 any at the time.
it was a round 1 Madcatz TE.
plus its a good way to try out sticks with out a major lost. which help me find my love , the Eightarc Fusion.
right now i’m just collecting chun-li te sticks
I want to use a K lever in my HRAP V, here’s my plan. Please tell me if there’s something wrong/missing.
[] Use a step drill to widen the lever hole for the collar.
[] Similarly cut my plexi and artwork with a craft knife.
[] Swap the mounting plate on the lever with one of those **Kowal plate converters **with the lever rotated 90 degrees so it fits.
[] Insert some hex nuts or washers or something to space out the lever from the case so it’s not too tall.
It sounds really simple when I write it out, which is why I’m worried I might be overlooking something. Is there anything else I should consider/do? What could go wrong?
So it’s finally here! I got my Crown 309MJ, in black. Of course, my homemade arcade stick case was not originally going to fit it, but I made it work! And it feels awesome!
As aforementioned, the joystick was NOT going to fit into the case as it was. The 309MJ has a collar protruding out from the mounting plate, and while this isn’t an issue with standard arcade joystick mounting surfaces, it was with mine, due to how simple it was to just drill holes into the wood and screw on screws directly into it, with the plate being flat on the wood surface:
What I did to (or at least attempt to; I did not know if this was going to be a waste of time or wasn’t going to work) try and resolve this was to take my existing Seimitsu dustwasher and use it as a guide, drawing an outline on the existing joystick lever hole; the dustwasher is the exact same size as the collar on the Crown joystick. With the outline drawn, I used a rotary tool with a drill bit and guide to chip and grind away at the wood until I got the joystick plate to sit flush with the wood, which took an hour try after try:
I was also worried about the joystick being too short for my homemade arcade stick case. Thankfully, this was not the case, no pun intended. I compared the height of the Crown 309MJ to my Seimitsu LS-40-01 joystick with a Sanwa clear bat top. The heights are almost virtually the same, with the Crown handle being just a very tiny little bit longer than the Sanwa handle on the Seimitsu.
Do excuse the pictures; it was awkward trying to stand the joysticks up, and there’s little lighting:
I haven’t done any real testing on the stick yet, but I’ll definitely have to get used to it. Yet, I love the feeling of it right off the bat; it feels so good in my opinion, and really smooth in all directions! I’ll post my impressions later, if I get the chance.
fyi if you still decide to use a fanta stick may have to cut the fanta down to size and you’ll need lubrication for you step bit.
(example of how it was cut)
You might want to mount the kowal plate on top of the stick plate from a Myoungshin. It should mount the lever in your stick at about the right height.

@Sanada-kun , its up to you. But buying a used stick means not having to baby it or worry about voiding a warranty. Dont have to drop $200 on something that im going to mod in one way or another. Buying used for me means ill end up spending as much as a new stick in the end, but it will be exactly how i want it.
Nope. It was supposed to come soon but nothing. I am always on watch by using Crown’s hangul and using google.
There is that photo of the box which looks a lot fancier than most Crown levers. It has a Metal Gear-esque logo with a guy using a cardboard box and a ! on it.
