usually with sagat, you should try to just keep abel out since he does all of his dmg from closeup. far away, he can only do sean kick which is an overhead or roll in. you can throw him out of roll so its not too dangerous and sean kick is easy to see from far away and has bad recovery so you can punish it after blocking most of the time.
the reason the 3 hit combo kept hitting is cause the 2nd hit is an overhead and you kept blocking low. aside from that, you can also mash out an uppercut after blocking the 1st or 2nd hit.
one other thing i noticed is that you tend to use tiger knee as an anti-air. its ok if you can react to jump ins fast enough but if you’re like me and you can’t react, i think just standing hard kick is good for sagat. also his forward hard kick will set up his ultra so that’s something you can look for as well.
tao or laugh can probably tell you teach you more though, i don’t really know much about using sagat
yeah i use it for anti-air and to close, which ends up getting me thrown =/. i’ll be calling home posthaste for my 360 though.
