For those of you that are down south, I am located in Daegu and have spare parts to include joysticks, buttons, ball tops, pcb’s and tools to mod just about everything. Hey i’m like an hour or so from Daegu I am near Pohang. Does anybody know where I can get an arcade stick? i play pretty casually but i’d still like one, always enjoyed playing fighters on them compared to pad. also, if people are meeting up in daegu let me know i will try and be there. also i play on PS3 elboborey add me if you want
I have two for sale, one rj 45 moded te r1 and one custom oak ps3 stick. pm if interested. are there any dvd rooms with 360’s or ps3’s? Maybe we can meet up in one of those? I dont know of any arcade places with good fighting games…i do know of a place where we could have tournaments. does everybody know where a restaurant called the lazy dinner is at? The owner has a ps3 with a flat screen, and i have approached him about it. The restaurant is in downtown daegu. they also have good american food lol. thats the only place i can think of getting toghether. maybe after some tourneys the owner might buy a 360 so we arent limited to ps3. Let me know if you guys would be willing to travel so i can keep communicating with him.

Hi all, I just wanted to advertise the sticks that i have for sale at the moment since a lot of people are asking for sticks here in korea. I plan on making a thread in the trading post but i would like to offer them to my korean brothers first. That’s right you guys get first dibs! First up is my custom Oak 6 button PS3 stick. It has a sanwa jlf with an octogate and clear seimitsu bubble top. The buttons are clear seimitsu with artwork in them. The three (3) buttons in the front are two (2) seimitsu and one (1) sanwa. The stick is about 2" high and i don’t remember the length or width. I’ll edit the post once i get home lol. At the moment the stick has a Ps3 Cuthulu and i am asking $200. I have the ability and make it a dual mod for an additional $50. I do not have any A/B USB adapters or imps so the stick would have two (2) cords coming out of it. Here are some pics:
The bottom of the stick has two (2) plexi glass sheets so that you can put additional artwork.
Up next is my RJ-45 moded TE R1. The TE is compatible with the following systems: PS1, PS2, PS3, 360, CG, Wii, and PC. It also comes with the Headset adapter/jack, along with the back button that i replaced. I am asking for $175 local pickup or shipped. Here are some pics:

If you follow that link and look at the very top you will see the front gate. If you are exactly there head down the northeast road until you reach a main intersection (the road will no longer be going forward). It is directly to your left past one building (a Family Mart) and it is exactly behind the local bus stop for the university. They have karaoke machines too.
I don’t know when peak hours are or what the competition is like, but I assume its mostly college students. I will update this post with a fighting games list.

Also in Jeonju is a huge “gaeksa” or shopping/business district next to the tourist attraction of Hanok village (old-style korean village). There is an arcade in there. Also, in that area is a huge movie theatre and there is an arcade inside it as well.
Remember when we went to Hyehwa to hang out with some of my travel buddies with dinner and karaoke? I still have some pictures somewhere, gotta get them up into facebook…hope you’re doing well man, good to hear that arcades are still very much alive in other parts of the world…
The Judies Taehwa in Somyeon, Busan also has an AE and a vanilla machine. The hard kick on the vanilla left controller was broken last month, don’t know if they ever got around to fixing it. There’s some pretty good players on the AE.
