Konami Fighting Games

Word…part 1 was the shit, 2 wasn’t quite as fun. Limited lateral mobility and dodging (import, never played domestic version. I’m told they made the side-step like american BR1) weren’t as fun. 3 was good, and Primal Fury is why I still have my Gamecube. 4…the less said, the best.

For those of you at EVO interested in trying out a few Konami fighters, come by the southeast corner of the ballroom (right inside the door marked Pavilion 3). The Las Vegas locals have set up several cabs in that portion of the BYOC area, 3 of them running Konami titles. I’ve got Dragoon Might running on my old JAMMA cab, with Battle Tryst (Konami’s mid-90s 3D polygon fighter, with Pastel from the Twinbee series as an unlocked hidden character) on my Astro City cab. Later on, I’ll swap my Martial Champion board into that cab. We’ve also got a 4-player cab running Konami’s X-MEN side-scrolling beat’em-up.
