2003 seems a little good to me we haven’t had one of 2003 in a while. hmm… as for 98 not sure about that one because I don’t see too much people play 98 
I dont really care which game the tournys on becouse ill play either way but it will probably have a better turn out if its on 2003.
Hey it seems that you guys have something going on here. Well I’m thinking of going to TS5 if there are any SNK games, but they have not confirmed anything yet so I’m still waiting, well we are having a big KOF 02 tourney Jan. 22 and it will be great to see some of you guys here (SoCal). The competitive level here is pretty strong and I guarantee you guys will have a good time. Also we dont play Neowave nobody really liked it so we just stick to 02. Well if any of you guys are interested on coming to this event please let me know I might be able to house some of you guys. Also if anybody has some inside info or if they are having the SNK tourneys at TS5 please let me know. (I just hope its not NEOWAVE

Well I would go 98, for the fact that i dont really like 2003 anymore because it has too many cheap characters and that makes the game boring. Hey plus it wouldn’t be a bad idea to play 98 and go a little classic, 98 marbe old but trust me its one HELL of A GAME!!! should be fun.
Quick question, are the orochis in their full orochi form considered cheap I dont mean Rugal cheap but a little bit above average than the other chars cheap. Just aksing cause ill ocasionally pick orochi chris on DC & my friend calls me cheap for that.
Nah, actually they’re actually far from it. All of them are good, but not overly cheap or powerful. I actually prefer the normal versions of Yashiro and Shermie, and I’m torn between both Chris’s. They just have to figure out their weaknesses, and believe me, they’ve got just as much as any of the other characters.
Now that I got that cleared I was wondering what good combos does orochi chris have I’ve only come up with.
s.C, f.A, fdf C,
s.C, f.B, qcb C,
s.C, f.A, qcf D, fdf A
Those are probably the 3 best combos I can find right now for orochi chris, other than that my real game with chris relys on cornering the opponent and pressuring him with normals and his overhead air fireball (qcb C). Also is there anything good with his DM & SDM and is turning into Orochi worth the bar.
Well his hdsm is crap, but his dm is worth it especially since u can cancel from the c version of his uppercut on the third hit which does alot of damage. Not much of a chris user but thats the combo i would do alot s.C,f.a,uppercut cancel into dm.

C,f,A,CB,C,f,A,hcf D,fdf C, cancel into special hcb hcf A. work on it, its a pretty good combo

It’ll be a tourney for 2003. The date isn’t certain yet, but we’re thinking of making it for a Friday near Spring Break. Hopefully, that’ll give some time for shaking off the rust as well as learning new people and strats.
Oh well, i was hoping you would go for 98 but i guess i’ll still enter the tourny for 2003, hopefully there’s not much doulon players he should be banned or something, but thats just my opinion.
Why dont you guys talk to the guys doing TS5 and do it there, you might have a bigger turnout, and me and some of my peeps might show up.
2003 I dont know but here in SoCal is dead we stick too 2002.

well we wouldn’t mind going for the comp its just its to far, but if u do manage to come dude we can have a date set up for u guys if u ever come and provide hospitality its u alls call. i’ll tell u this we love the comp every friday and sat here at sa,tx from 7-12 its just better and better and we all have fun. so if u all ever come welll gladly play till we break haha all right then c yeah.
Hey thanks mam, well I was siying that because I was planning to go if they had KOF at TS5. Anyway if it happens please let me know. About a our tournament this SAT I know it was a short notice but it would be nice to have some of you here reppin TX, cause we are having a 5 on 5 team tourny too reppin the different parts of SoCal. If they there is a way you guys can make it let me know and you can stay in my place, dont worrie about food also.
D’ on Culebra is going to host a small KOF’98 tournament next month. We decided that we might as well have a tourney for both 98 and 2003, just at different times. So here what we’ve come up with so far:
