I know we are pretty much talking about TS5 at the moment, but I was wondering if we could go back to KoF2k2 for a couple seconds. I was wondering how does one do the small jump/dash D thing wth Iori, ya know, the one that makes his fly back faster than hell. It’s been around since 97’ but I never learned. Also, anyone care to explain some good Yamazaki and O. Chris strats and combos? I only know like one for each, and the rest of the time I just poke and fireball. :karate: Thanks in advance.
To do Ioris bug do his dah back (back, back) when he is in the air hold back and press B. The faster you press B the further you’ll go, however there is a limit.
As for O. Chris and Yamazaki strats it depends on how you want to play them. In my Opinion Yamazaki is best played as a poker, his best pokers are s.D, d.A, and d.C. His sweep has long range but is fairly punishable. His bread and Butter combos are s.C,Dp D., Qcb C, or s.C, f.A, Qcf C/B. Remember to use his anti air super…ALWAYS! for jump ins, for fireballers, everything. Also his counter is really good! Your goal with yama is to make your opponent jump or roll, so poker A LOT and use his Qcb a/b/c’s as often as possible. If an opponent jumps use his anti air super. If an opponent rolls use his grab super!!
For O.Chris it’s a speed game! You always want to create pressure and stick to the opponent. Using jumping CD to keep your opponent in a corner and chip away. Be sure you’re using D.B, D.A, and s.B to keep your opponent away or guessing. His bread and butter combos are s.C, F.A, HCF B, DP.A, or s.C, F.A, Qcb Hcf A. Chris is pretty Max Mode friendly. s.C, f.A, MAX s.C, f.A,HCF B, DP.C, Qcb Hcf A. about 60% you can easily add a jump in before that. Remember you don’t have to use s.C you can do d.B, d.A then f.A combo. He is very versital and can be played many ways, just try him out.
how come none of you guys showed up to TS5. Well I got some matches if you want to check out want you missed
Alright, thanks a ton for the info. That’s pretty much how I used Yama to begin with. And thanks again for the Iori and Chris strats, really appreciate it. :china:

Any strats for using Chang effectively in KOF2002? How is he ranked in the tier listings, is he any good?
Chang is good dude just need to know when to use his move effectively. You should rely on his jumping attacks he’s got an attack for every situation and then remember the timing and recovery for each move so you can keep doing them in a certain order. like starting with a jumping c then when your oppent is far or trying to do something short jump cd and repeat once u corner your opponent jump in with d then jump back with d and once again jump up with either a c if your still close or cd if your farther away just keep poking them like mad.
Another thing once they learned this poking strat from u they won’t jump or attempt a move yet now u rely on your ground skills like using your slide attack diagnol forward and a, and if they start walking nack and forth or attapt to run fireball do his dd+b or d to knock them down and for the fast characters use his counter attack to stop them from pressuring u.
The supers never ever do the jumping splash super unless they have no energy and they jump at u but nerver the less do not rely on it for u will be puished if u miss or even hit someone the recovery is to slow. the other super is real good just make sure uyou do it at the last moment when your opponent hits or frames in other words do the super when u see him attack it has invincibilty and if u miss and they block no worries for it’'ll just push them back.
Well thats enough for me if u want starts pm me i’ll tell in depth fopr he guy. And also when u play notice how your opponent reacts when u do a certain move and when u do the same move again u know what to do because its a reaction take advantage of that u’ll see as u play more.
Thanx a bunch.:karate:
I’ll let ya’ know when I have more questions.
If anyone has any good Benimaru and K9999 anti-grappler strats, please post.
