On the side note I hear that Oscar got to play against the PRIDE OF TEXAS (some asshole guy I hear from Austin)…(IN an SNK game MIND YOU PEOPLE) in KOFXII…and he OCVED HIS ASS WITH RAIDEN!!

it wasn’t an ocv. both players played pretty defensively in GF didnt really get too many critical counters at all. generally though it was pretty high level play i thought. i can go home happy that i placed in Top 16, yay me ^_^;
from memory, Final round ended with reynald’s Ralf putting jon in the corner, groundpunch juggle, juggle reset into unblockable CD?
some of the better matches was during semifinals, one of Jon’s went to 3 game 5th round, and ended in time out 1 second too late after he was about to eat an unblockable CD. I think that match was RJ vs jon.
overall i thought it was a good showing and we showed people that there are a LOT of hardcore kof players in california. just lucky that we had it a month before to play on, otherwise the results would have probably been different.
That was a pretty fun event!
Got to try out Mature and Elisabeth for the first time, I was having win streaks in the Projection Screen KOF XII display.

GGs to everyone I got play in casuals and the tournament. I didn’t think I was going to make it to top 5, but I did somehow. Great job to Reynald for taking 1st place, very solid Joe play. Same to Mr.KoF and RJ. I’ll see you guys at AI next time around to get more games. Overall the whole event was great. I wanted to thank SRK/EVO staff Mr.Wizard and James Chen for doing the brackets during the tournament. I also wanted to thank Ignition for holding the event and all the free stuff they were handing out. It was good seeing Oscar at the event and a lot of other familiar faces from AI/EVO, etc. I’m really looking foward to the console release now and I’ll be playing KoFXII a lot more once it’s out. So until then keep playing guys and I’ll see everyone around.
Oh yea and I used Terry, Andy and Ryo. Mainly in that order through the whole tournament.

What I am going to say is that I had a lot of fun in the tournament and I TIED for 5th place. I am very happy that this event happened and I would LOVE to see something like this at evo.

P.S.I did play against the “Pride of Austin” as i was informed by the film crew but the film crew was the one hyping the match up I would have never know who he was if they didn’t make such a big deal about it. It was nothing personal I just had to rep SoCal!!!
