There’s a difference between identifying with a region and an ethnic group though.
People may identify from Rio or São Paulo, but you all still say you’re Brazilian right?
I mean people there love their Portuguese, Japanese, African, Indigenous roots etc., but at the end of the day you are all Brazilian.
The US’ entire history is built on immigration and yet there is still a sense of other or not actually being American if you’re a minority; that’s what I’m talking about
A Pakistani boy could be discriminated against as not being “American” even if he was born and raised here. He’s deemed “other” because he’s a minority.
I’d be confused if a Japanese or African-Brazilian experienced that given Brazil’s history.
that’s the 2nd trailer to only reveal two. Joe sort of counts, but at this rate, there could be several more extra trailers if they keep the paired reveals instead of trio reveals. they are starting to reveal the Another World team. I think the trailer picks are planned. but I dont mind the paired reveals if that helps maintain weekly trailer reveals. 
Mui Mui is like an upgraded Xiangfei. Kinda worry for Xiangfei’s chances of returning now lol.
Btw I’m starting to think Joe won’t be officially revealed until the last banch of characters are shown :lol:

Who let Gaara into KoF? His moves were cool he couldn’t look more obviously evil if he tried. He’s definitely heroic.
I feel bad for the new female characters.
It looks like they just keep getting hate and no responses, meanwhile everyone always talks about the new males and praises them.
Guess there are more dudebro players then expected

Luong: mature acrobatic fighter
Nelson: cyborg arm boxer
Muimui: dragon style kung fu girl
Kurki: Dark mysterious sand user
The new characters not only are diverse amoung each other, but amoung the whole cast in general too.
Guess you missed the Luong reveal, she received a ton of love from pretty much everyone.
I don’t agree with Mui Mui being an upgrade over Xiangfei, I like the sentiment. That Mui Mui is awesome.
Luong got a pretty good reception. It’s just Sylvie and Mui Mui, who have be given negative reception. And from what I’ve seen Sylvie has gotten much more praise than otherwise. And peeps haven’t really been giving Mui Mui a lot of crap, just indifference or praise. Which is totally understandable, cutesy characters like Sylvie and Mui Mui are pretty niche(to be honest more often than not, I hate them). I’d wager to say cutesy characters at large don’t appeal to most fighting game player, and repel at least a fourth of them while only attracting/ appealing to a third(not to say the third aren’t important. Because they are) and leave the remainder indifferent or undecided.
So you probably don’t have to worry about the rest of the newcomer girls. Mask girl, Latin girl, and Love Heart don’t seem to fall into the same archetype that gets so much crap. Nakaruru probably won’t get too much crap for the same reason to one picks on Arhena and Kula, seniority. But the jury is out on Alice. Maybe she’ll get shit, or maybe she will be looked at similar to how people Yuri(I’m pretty sure I’m the only one in the world who hates Yuri) or Sakura Kusagano
errr… so theyve actually made the colors more washed out in the newer trailers. im not sure it applies to everything, but is noticeable in KOD’S dia de los muertos stage.

I think Alice and Pillow Child will come out next week. Aside from Another World team, Woman’s Team and China Team are the only teams with only 1 character revealed in it.
Mai will probably be revealed a bit later and Demon Boy will likely be last. So yeah that should leave Alice and Pillow Child.

You can see in the new trailer that the NPC’s in the background now get scared/frightened when one characters does a Special Move and when someone wins a fight they celebrate together. Good detail.

I don’t think Alice will be a cutesy character overall. Seeing her pics of her playing basketball and riding motorcycles, I think she’ll normally be a cool tomboy (like Mila from DOA)
But when she gets near Terry, that’s when her inner cutesy comes out :lol:

Naw, Luong is the most like character right now amoung all the newbies so far. Sylvie got mix reactions but seems to be mainly liked. Mui Mui seems more ignored then hated, perhaps because she was in a trailer with a character as awesome as Kukri.
Tbh I think if any characters is at risk of getting hate, it’s the Prisoner and Pillow Child.
Bao seems to be quite hated, so the Pillow Child may be on the same boat. For the Prisoner… Honestly idk I just sense hate for that guy lol.
