Honestly the graphics are getting better every next trailer. They still aren’t amazing but they aren’t as bad as some mke it out to be.
I think with the huge cast the game is getting there isn’t enough time (or money) for amazing graphics. Tbh I’d much rather have a big diverse cast with lots of variety and barely decent graphics then amazing graphics with very few characters to choose from. Especially if the game is KOF (I already got SF5 and MKX for that)
You don’t? K, bye.
I also don’t have patience and time for people who are too dense to see the problem. Execution heavy games are not fun. I don’t want nor should I need to put hours of practice into a character just to be average with him/her. It’s not fun.
Want a perfect example how execution heavy characters turn people off? Barely no one played Vega (claw) in SF4. The character was a chore to play and you had to get ridiculously good at execution with him just to stand a chance against others. In sf5? Vega’s one of the better and more fun characters. Guess why?
Shit amigo, that is the fun of fighting games, or well, the yellow brick road to get to the fun.
However, I can’t really say for sure if Claw wasn’t used much due to his execution. Blanka is a relatively simply character in terms of execution and he got no play, so is Dhalsim. All three characters are bad characters which may have played a role. I know me personally, I didn’t use Claw due to his weird commands for me at the time as I was new to fighting games, but then I ended up doing all the fun links and technical shit with Ibuki so idk, maybe I’m insane.
I really want to see some health bars and how much damage shit does. If this game is like 98 or even XI to an extent where shit FUCKING HURTS, then I’m sold on the game, no matter what it looks like.
Kyo, Iori and Leona models and textures are improved
Hair and some clothes have now animations
The first stage is improved too (better ambient light ecc)
Well those models are largely unfinished and they would have to do a ton of work to make those playable anyways, plus they probably wanted to go with a new art style to further differentiate the game from XIII.
I’m less-concerned about the 3D models but I wish they’d make up for it in the special effects department. The effects sprites in XIII were just too beautiful. I can only assume the people who did those are long gone…
Is there only talk of a PS4 version so far? I’m hoping this gets a PC release instead of being some type of exclusive. The fact that it’s going to be unveiled at the PlayStation Experience thing doesn’t get my hopes up, though.
Game is really starting to look progressively better after every trailer. It probably would have been wiser to wait until a little bit later to present this next installment. SNKP (and the individuals in charge of overseeing this video game) may have presented this way too early. I do like how the game play is looking so far and I am glad to see it progressing over time.
