Well ryo and ryu are very similar. They both have the same sounding name, hurricane kick type moves, a fireball, a shoryuken and a similar outfit.
During an interview with 1UP.com, SNK revealed that Ryo Sakazaki was created as a homage to the Capcom fighting games characters.

Ryo isn’t a joke character.
If anything he is a homage.
Maybe her DM looks like CvS2 Rugal’s qcfx2+K super.

It’s funny how ken’s outfit in SFV reminds me of the official artwork of ryo with his shirt pulled down. It’s like the rip offs went full circle.

That’s why I want ryo to come back as mr.karate as opposed to just ryo again to eliminate any comparisons between the 2. You’re right mechanically ryo and ryu play nothing alike. If ryo was in the SFV engine he wouldn’t even have the same basic game plan as ryu. In SVC both had little to no familiar gameplay elements.
Well they’ve stated that everyone gets 2 DMs, we’re certain her back flip is one, and I believe her dancing on Kim’s face is the second. It could be part of her SDM version of back flip, or a non cinematic part of her Climax.
And maybe Beni’s thinking something like “When you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss gazes back.”

When do ya’ll think the game will come out? I see it being in September, possibley August.
If they keep revealing 3 characters per week, that’s 7-8 weeks left meaning mid May.
After all characters are revealed I could see SNK tweaking the game and such. Also showing more of the story and modes.
Also could see them trying to hype the games pre-order bonus for a while. I could see their being a CE for pre-order along with bonuses such as costumes/skins.

depends on the publisher. a KOF CE is unheard of if they happen to make one in the west. I dunno, between story mode, and network testing, unless online netcode is not a priority, it could release August, but maybe in October if they are serious about beta testing the netcode, like Namco did with Xenoverse and NRS did with even the XL version of MKX.
they could also polish the gameplay balance while online testing, so it could result in a better quality launch.
I agree I don’t want the game to release anytime soon, take your time and make it as good as you can, if you have to delay it until 2017 I’m fine with that as well.
