Playing 98 on a Stick isn’t a picnic either. It exposes sloppy inputs big time.

I expect at least 4 reveals at PlayStation Expirience

Maybe they’ll reveal more more team protagonist/faces (Terry, K, Ryo, Kim, King, Athena, ect)

It’s not just sloppy inputs, 98’s input interpreter is kinda ass in general unfortunately. The diagonals are jacked, if you hit a diagonal for 1 frame exactly it won’t register, so you kinda have to slow down when you do inputs on top of other things. Basically, the input interpreter is the biggest problem with playing 98. It’s fixed in 98UMFE on steam though because Code Mystics implemented their own input interpreter, but only for UMFE. Neo Geo mode in that game is 100% untouched.

Mui Mui looks familiar, almost as if they’ve made a character near identical to her 17 years ago.
A character named Li Xiangfei.

Anyone having problems with the inputs with old KOF games should give seimitsu a chance. It has always been a better stick to play KOF to me because of its short throw/engage distance. This thought was reinforced even more when I found out all the old neo geo cabs in Japan are equipped with ls-40s.

Another good option is a happ/Lorenzo stick

What about Hayabusa’s?

I’d say hayabusa’s are like sanwa but bigger, they are very similar overall but they’re no seimitsu.

with happ sticks and seimitsu cornering is fast and easy to hit.

with sanwa you feel you travel more to hit the diagonals and anyone could try this, just play a few hours with a seimitsu then try a sanwa and you’ll notice the difference.

I thought main difference is the square actuator(happ,IL)uses and seimitsu use of levers on the switches but then I also used the sanwa JLW which has levers for years and that shit fucking sucks avoid it at all cost.

I knew it wasn’t me. I never had any issues with rekkas and such until I played the older KOFs. And yeah, my experience was like that. Whenever I slowed down my inputs, I could do practically any combo but after playing these games for years, I input my attacks fast so no way that was working out with 98 for me. Because of that I(and K’ being my favorite character), I stuck to 02 instead.

LOL. Yeah, 98 will do that you. That shit had me thinking “damn, I actually can’t do a DP motion. I can do Greenhand in SF4 but I can never do Rising Tackle, I suck.”

Same here. My execution was spotty at best before and it felt like I was relearning how to play on stick all over again.

Mui Mui looks kinda interesting. You don’t see female characters getting hype like that often enough, lol. Like she was about to turn Super Saiyan.
Her little rival Vegeta looks cool, too.

*I’d be disappointed if so, I loved playing Xiangfei in the older games and was hoping she would end up in a modern KoF.

The graphics for the new KOF look terrible, specially the animations, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious about how well the game will actually play. *
