Well since we can’t really hear what the game sounds like, I’m pretty stoked to find out. The Esaka remix in trailers 4 & 5 was pretty godlike. I can’t wait to hear Arashi no Saxophone 6 and Fatal Fury teams theme(assuming it’s a remix of Terry’s theme, something like their '02 theme). And I really hope the South Town team’s theme is a remix of Geese’s theme or an amalgamation of that and London March.
I keep saying it because if those are the things you complain about I question how big of a fan you actually are of the game and frankly don’t care if you buy or support the game because I would rather not have someone like you in the community. I said it, I’m going to be that asshole, and I don’t care. That kind of shit doesn’t matter, it means nothing, but you’re going to trump it up like it’s a huge deal and SNK are terrible people and how dare they pay homage to their lineage.
I asked you if you had a source for those big numbers you say had a problem with King, because that is exactly my point. You say that there are so many people that have a problem with that aspect of the game and it’s important for the US market that things like that don’t exist. How many people is that exactly? And how many of those people were going to buy the game? Because I simply do not believe it’s as big of a number as you say it is. I mean, maybe in the context of pure numerical value it’s big, but in the grand scheme of things I doubt it’s a significant number. 500,000 people in China watched a KoF97 tournament online and absolutely smashed online e-sports viewership records. Are there 500,000 US KoF players that are outraged at SNK history and want to remove King’s shirt being torn? I doubt it.
The numbers you are talking about is irrelevant, the outrage you are talking about is irrelevant, this topic is irrelevant. I’m being an asshole about it because you are giving it more value than it is worth. The quality of the game is not impacted in the SLIGHTEST by King’s shirt. It means nothing.
First of all, why the fuck are you being so aggressive? Like seriously? It’s like someone can’t have a negative opinion on this game. Everytime someone has an issue with the game (asside from maybe things related to gameplay) you come in being very agressive. You don’t want someone like me in the community? I got my source and “numbers” from youtube comments and i heard people talking about it on other forums like MMcafe. Yes, some players have had an issue with this in XIII, most wich were women. What? You mean these people aren’t a big part of KOF comunity? I didn’t know… Kappa.
Dude these people may not be a big part of the community but they are potential fans. Ignoring them and their feedback is going to push them away. From what i understand, not (or haveing it on everyone) removing King’s ripped shirt effect could have KOF loose the opportunity to gain a few casual fans but doing the other would give them higher chances of gaining these fans. The hardcore players like you don’t care about this kind of things so what’s the big deal?

It’s a game where you have lots of buxom big breasted girls like Mai and Shermie showing the butt and such, anyone that’s uncomfortable with the idea of sexualizing female characters, has never been a KOF player.
If someone doesn’t want to play a game just because some female characters get their shirts exploded from a super, then screw them and their first world problems tbh.
And majority of females don’t have a huge issue with things like this with female characters, only dudes who act like a bunch of females (sadly) give much of a crap about it.
The people who are complaining about this are from newly made accounts. Not accusing these people of just being here to troll, but seriously what the fuck is all this nonsense about. No one gave a shit about king’s clothes ripping off. This is the literal definition of manufactured outrage. The idea that slight titillation is hurting KoF when full on sex and nudity is in some of the BIGGEST SELLIGN GAMES OUT THERE is ultimately a bit silly. Surely, there are some people who feel uncomfortable with it that might play otherwise, but I’m sure the same could be said about Witcher 3, GTA series, God of War, and so on.
On the scale of “Objectionable things in games”, Cleavage and normal-bra coverage akin to Bikini tops are pretty low on the spectrum. Even AFTER King’s top ripped in XIII, she showed less breasts than Makoto does in Blazblue just by standing still. shrug
The only issue I really have with this is that “Special KOs” need to be more than a legacy nod. We need Terry’s hat to fly off again. We need Robert to get Chip KO’d Butt-to-the-sky like he did in Art of Fighting.
Mai should lose her fans on KO. Billy’s Staff should fly out of his hands. NEW characters should get some, too. Sylvie’s Side-of-head eyes should bug out. K’ should lose control of his flames for a sec, with his hand exploding into pained fire. And so on.
It was Understandable that there wasn’t much extra in XIII. That game has to do very expensive sprites for poses; new animations would have been a nightmare. But in 3D, it should be easier to make a universal system for many of these things again, and spread something more universal to a large amount of the cast, if not everyone.
I complain about things that pertain to relevant details of the game such as the graphics and gameplay. Complaining about what fictional women wear, over youtube comments from people who don’t matter is quite a different thing friend.

Correction: I complained about her clothes being ripped. If i wanted to complain about clothes i would have talked about Angel (whom i have 0 problem with).
