Didn’t Nests himself die? Wasn’t it Igniz who created the syndicate for entertainment and put Nests as it’s leader?
Then i guess, some NESTS agents did appear in K’ team’s ending in KOF XIII. Maybe they got a new leader, maybe that’s who this russian dude is.

On a side note: I still hate Sylvie. I really can’t bring myself to like her but as a person who likes both Momoko and Bao i can’t really complain.

The KOF cast always reminded me of a tribute to 80s style manly shonen anime/manga. I mean you have a jojo inspired character, kyo was clearly inspired by shonen heroes and the rest of the cast look like you fit them in any action shonen with no issues. The problem now is that they no longer are going for this art style and have made everyone effiniminate and too"Japan." Kyo looks like a j-pop male singer, this new girl looks like a anime loli. She would have never been in the cast back in the 90’s era of SNK games. She represents a mistake SNK is making and should be removed. It’s like looking at the animation and art style of DBZ and looking at what happened to dragon ball super.

Every character fits the game. Saying Sylvie doesn’t fit the game because she look like she’s from Arcana Heart is like saying KOD doesn’t fit the game because he looks like he’s from Killer Instinct, Mai for Dead Or Alive, Iori for Mortal Kombat, ect. Or even Athena for Arcana Heart. Sounds ridiculous right?

Also the game is not in the 90s anymore, it’s in the 2010’s now. So whether a character like her or current Kyo would be in KOF during the 90s is irrelevant. What would you want her to look like, a Spice Girls member?

People only use these arguments to justify why they feel a character they don’t like shouldn’t be in. Just get over it, not every character was made to please you.

i save 500$ , i will dont buy any ps4 for kof , so disappointed of all skullgirl character this is really a fun breaker for me , is call king of fighter not skullbabygirl:( , 98 still the best kof ever , 1.31sec terry face and 1.34 sec kim look so weird stop the video and zoom the face , this is my opinion

Ok I hate Arcana Heart too, and I can’t stress this enough, I really don’t like Sylvie but you gotta understand, SNK doesn’t owe you shit and not every character they make will be made to appeal you. You said you love '98. Well in that case the characters that are in both '98 and XIV are there to appeal to you. Let the guys who like pop idols and Black Buttler have some dudes. Once again I don’t like the chick but I’ve seen dudes on SRK, tumblr, Twitter, and YouTube comments all say that they like the character. So I see that it’s ok that I don’t like her, because there are others who do. It’s not all about you dude.
But then again, there are already 20 returning characters that I already know that I like, so I don’t care if I end up hating all of the newcomers, I still have plenty of characters to play. So whatever.

I understand where you’re coming from and I feel your pain but you gotta understand. It’s not like “the old KoF” is going away. 32/50 characters in the XIV are classic KoF that we’ve come to know and love. Not mention the new characters(including Sylvie) aren’t a far cry from the characters we’ve seen in the “Never happened” saga. And if you don’t think KoF(and SNK by extension) is anime as hell, take a hard look at Kyo, Rock, Athena, Bao, Momoko, Shingo, K’, Iori… For Christ sake Benimaru is literally J.P. Polnereff from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure(a manga and as of 2012, an anime).

That latest trailer was excellent. Is Sylvie the “electric girl” that was hinted at months ago? And Maxima’s new design really gets the “cyborg” thing across pretty well. I’ll most likely use the entire Nests team for this game.

It’s pretty simple, Sylvie’s design is pretty clearly supposed to be busy and ridiculous and insane and she’s supposed to stand out and not look like the rest of the cast because she’s a Harajuku idol, which as already posted is an actual thing that actually exists and makes perfect sense for a MODERN idol design. Everyone is complaining because SNK nailed what they were trying to do. People are mad that they succeeded, but they want to say shit like she doesn’t belong in the game for no reason.

There is no reason you could possibly give that would justify the opinion that she shouldn’t be in the game. You don’t want her in the game because you don’t like her, end of discussion.

and after Kyo real bad ass character , and i dont see Sylvie’s design be the next terry or kyo so i dont see big succeeded at best limited succeeded there because she will never be the next icon , this is my opinion , peace

I don’t think SNK cares about a villain being an icon anyways. If anything they want to have a strong hero design that people like.
