As many characters as were revealed here, or shown again, itās funny how much people seem to think that 100% of the cast has to be āJust for Themā.
Vice is like the furthest thing from Sylvie. Juriās the closest thing to her personality in a Capcom game, and I always find her to be a pale imitation. Do I stop playing the game because I think sheās a bit lame? Naaa. Do I hate people who like to play her, or even like her personality? Nope! If anything, the fact I dislike her makes the matches VS her players all the more fun. Like getting to punch a person you donāt like in the face, with no negative repercussions!
KoF is a game series that, even before respecting what the PLAYERS likeā¦ celebrates what the devs like. They animate moves based on their favorite anime, manga, TV shows, music, and Hollywood movies. Theyāre the ones who push stupid little extra animations into the game, because they think theyāre cool. Did it take SNKP nearly killing itself by pursuing an art style that they loved, but was not financially viable, to let you see how much of a passion project these games are for them?
The factt that a game can house women who are Maniacal, Cute, Sexy, Childishā¦ whatever, helps give the series a design variety that I still think is missing from many other fighters. Blazblue adds āsexyā onto characters that donāt even really need it, Street Fighter seems to have a hard time to commiting to really solid, evil designs, and can never mix ācoolā and āevilā in that respect, MKā¦ LoLā¦ and so on. But KoF has Rambo fighting a Japanese pop Idol fighting A school boy fighting a vagabond with a heart of gold. It has guys throwing blitz balls that are inspired by pro wrestlers, and 90s Hip-hop dancers fighting Mythical Snake-godsm Jazzy band members, and Master Roshi.
What in the world DOESNāT have a place in the KoF world? Kyoās been fighting in Esaka since inception, do you think itās impossible for him to run down to Harajuku and make a friend?

, make any sense too me , btw i knoW is not 98 , but 98 is one of the best kof game ever and have the most bad ass roster so why not follow the same recipe ? snk be loyal too the player supporting you the last 20 year,also i really like the feeling of tournament or kumite in kof game , that why is call king of fighter , and throw some Arcana teen Hearts character just shut me down and make any sense , anyway is my opinion , maybe i`m too much old school style ,

I donāt like Sylvieās design. Itās busy and all other the place. Two oversized bows, the eye looking ornaments, huge loves and boots, the color combos, itās all too much. As a goofy character Iām not feeling it.
I like Vice. I like the tweak to her suit and she was treating Iori like a basketball. Whatās not to love?
Kim is exactly what I expected. He still looks rough around the edges. I expect a much louder and dynamic voice for him. It needs it for all his rambling about justice.

Ok I hate Arcana Heart too, and I canāt stress this enough, I really donāt like Sylvie but you gotta understand, SNK doesnāt owe you shit and not every character they make will be made to appeal you. You said you love '98. Well in that case the characters that are in both '98 and XIV are there to appeal to you. Let the guys who like pop idols and Black Buttler have some dudes. Once again I donāt like the chick but Iāve seen dudes on SRK, tumblr, Twitter, and YouTube comments all say that they like the character. So I see that itās ok that I donāt like her, because there are others who do. Itās not all about you dude.
But then again, there are already 20 returning characters that I already know that I like, so I donāt care if I end up hating all of the newcomers, I still have plenty of characters to play. So whatever.
