I see some Chinese writing on top if the image and the background where the portraits are located looks like KOF XIII option screen, I dunno I wouldn’t call this official.
Oh well south American team looks bad ass, can’t say the same for the new official team they look very weird even more strange than the another world team it’s funny.
*Leaked list looks cool. South American and Official Invitation teams looks the most intriguing to me. I can’t wait to see extended gameplay for all the new characters. From what we’ve seen so far we don’t really know what the gameplay system will look like for 14. I’m hoping that the new characters moveset and move properties will shed light on that. *
As a pro wrestling fan I love the Mexico team. Three super cool characters brought together by the gayest thing that only straight people like(shout outs to anybody who gets that reference)
That third guy in Geese’s team looks like a butler. If that so, man, his crime syndicate really went downhill after all these years. “Hey Billy, we need one person for our team, oh whatever bring the fucking butler, I don’t care anymore”.
not very a fan of the 2 new china character same for the new one in south town look too dont fit the team ,official invitation and another word ,look to be skull girl character and the new villains dont look too fit the team i like more classique character comeback for me is a lot more exciting compare this
let hope dlc bring back takuma and Ryuji Yamazaki , Blue Mary,Orochi Yashiro, Heidern, Shingo Yabuki , i think is very risky to bring to much new charcater , anyway a bit disappointed , yea now i start too understand i`m playing kof china i feel the pure essence of kof is leaving slowly
The large amount of new characters is a good sign that SNKP is actually trying to come back as a COMPANY, rather than just a KoF factory.
They’ve been riding off simply re-releasing the same old games (with the occasional awesome update/remix) for almost the entirety of the 2000s. Their game division had to fight for the company president to even admit games were worth making, while Pachislot was the real money maker. When they released KoF XII and XIII, they prioritized taking characters back to classic looks and roots, hoping they could hit nostalgia pangs, and maybe even have to say a farewell if the game wasn’t successful enough to keep their members employed, and working on games.
Now they’re setting up to return in a bit way. They have an ENT. business set up for licensing and other entertainment purposes. They make a new KoF that has a returning cast greater than the size of most other fighters entire rosters, and they have enough new characters to fill a MOTW or AoF2 size roster on their own.
There’s plenty of still-relevant games out there with dear characters like Blue Mary (a personal fav), Whip, Yamazaki, Heidern, and Shingo. (Not enough with Oswald, though!) The existence of a XIV doesn’t mean those games disappear. While the essence of KoF has been “relive those old days over and over!” for a long while now, the TRUE essence of KoF is to celebrate an active, lively SNK as a company, bringing characters from all genres, designers, and fandoms into one big, fun fighting tournament. It’s an umbrella that houses a great variety.
It’s great to see a roster that looks like it’s from a relevant, lively company again, rather than one that is constantly reliving past glories, slowly embracing an uncertain future (that would likely end in closure).
Geese’s butlers are also his bodyguards. I mean that’s kind of a misnomer because Geese doesn’t need people to protect him, but he surrounds himself with strong fighters so that no weaklings ever make it to him in the first place.
not agree , look the character is give the more hype for sf5 and the most request is alex and is a classique sf3 character , also so many new character just fail in sf4 , look after kof 98 everything go down because all new character , 13 make a nice comeback because is got a lot of classique character , kof 14 just have too much new face and is very risky , anyway let see what the future will say
I don’t think there is anything risky about a lot of newbies. If anything it’s beneficial, it gives the game a fresh feel (which I felt KOF XII-XIII lacked).
