What exactly is gimmicky about it? I mean in the earlier Fatal Fury games it was pretty wonky and felt more like a cheap gimmick mostly, but by Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 I feel like SNK finally got it right. It works pretty well for the game and compliments the gameplay very well.
It’ll never happen but the guy who founded Dimps was not only behind the first Street Fighter, but both Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting throughout their entire lifetimes. I would like to see a Street Fighter x Fatal Fury more than I would a CVS3 at this point.
KOF is one of the few fighting games that had a big impact on me years ago. Especially the impressive roster, I think 2002 UM had the biggest at 60+. They should have made a last KOF game of the old sprite era, with every character to have ever appeared in the series before they moved on to the new sprite styles of 12 and 13.
Speaking of XIII they should have at least one more iteration with a few more characters or at least have kept adding to the roster and movesets. Perhaps the method they used for sprite making was too expensive?
I wonder if they will ever return to those sprites again?
Whatever direction they are going with these 3D graphics, it will hopefully be for the best{although, they should probably adjust Kyo’s look some more?}.
When most of you are in your 60’s and possibly part cyborg, they will probably finally release some fighting game using all the fighters in every major fighting game like BB, GG, SF, and it will probably have a roster in the hundreds, and will most likely have been programmed and drawn entirely by highly advanced, AI robots.
It very much is. But not only is it incredibly expensive, it’s also incredibly time consuming, which makes expensive sprites even more expensive and gives you less content for more money. It was no doubt a more reasonable solution to just start over with something new, even if a new game from scratch might be more expensive than adding a handful of characters to 13, because in the long run it will be cheaper.
Sonic Adventure 2 was pretty good. The running stages, anyway. The games after that just handle like shit so I don’t give a fuck, but SA2 handles well and the stages are fun.
It honestly looks like a fighting game that’s being released for the Sega Dreamcast. Horrific graphics, hopefully it’s just the early stages. The last KOF looked so good, not sure where they’re going with this.
Sonic & Knuckles was better than Sonic 3 except in the music department which Sonic 3 has a slight upperhand.
Sonic Adventure 1 is a good game and SA2 is Sonic/Shadow stages were better than the original but the mech and hunting stages were a downgrade from the first which makes the game decent. Both games just didn’t age well
Sonic Heroes was… Decent i guess
Sonic Unleashed Day parts is good but the Night ones are horrible
Sonic Colors is a good Sonic game
Sonic Generations was Awesome.
Sonic Advance 1 is a good Sonic Game and so it’s Sequels
Sonic Rush is also good especially with that Soundtrack by Hideki Nakaguma
I hate people that say tge Genesis Sonic games are the only good Sonic games, they are best but not the only good Sonic Game
