On the note of the graphics, how come characters like kula,Chang and Leona no longer look plastic but the rest of the roster still does.
Because it’s a fucking work in progress.
Maybe because, I dunno? They had less development time?
Good to see the BUSTA WULF in action. I agree the effects aren’t entirely there in impact for some reason, but watching the actual animation of them has been pretty decent so far, and it can only improve.
When something is textured, it’s not just an “apply skin and… done!” issue. The way the item plays with the highlights and shadows helps suggest to us what the object is made of.
The people with lighter skin color generally seem to have very little that makes their skin look like Skin, and the way lights react on it, and the materials of clothing, all look the same. Like the shine on a Barbie or something.
The most “finished” characters not only have more variety in the materials they’re made of (cloth looks like cloth, skin has it’s own shade and highlight maps, personal lighting is better, etc), but they often have more secondary work (such as better flowing fabric and hair, more acute facial animation, or a more individualized face) done to them as well.
It’s all very W.I.P.

Honestly the particle effects on Buster Wolf seem to be pretty clearly, at least to me, trying to mimic the Garou sprites. It just ends up looking very different in 3D.
Well so far everything looks Fine beside kyo’s hilerious jacket,snk should do something about it i dont know paint it black with red strips or something, The Hair is passable at the least but still needs to be thinked throu some more,He’s face is actually spot on on the right angle.

Yamazaki, Heidern, Blue Mary, and Vanessa are the only characters missing I’d really want.
