Geese survived the fall in Fatal Fury 1, He didn’t die until Real Bout.
I miss Leona’s original costume 'twas amazing. While we are looking at the evolution of character’s costumes. Any thoughts on Ryo and Daimon? I personally think they’d be best off untouched

wow so Hero team has one child… SPOILERS (well its a fighting game, no such thing as spoilers), but um, darn, guess that might be Bao. but on the plus side, this could mean the Dragon Power saga could be starting in KOFXIV, a story arc that was foreshadowed since the NESTS saga. the new Hero sounds cool too. Those PalaceWan/Official team still is the the most interesting sounding new team.
He also never died in KoF.
And even if he did…just look at Vice and Mature.

I’ll never understand why SNK made the KOF series its own continuity.
Because it’s a crossover game. They were able to condense the timeline, do things like make it so Terry was much closer to Kyo’s age, made Athena fit in modern day, made it so Ryo and Robert were the same age as they were in AoF instead of becoming 10 years older than everyone else, etc. KoF is in essence always an SNK dream match, just with a continuing storyline. Like, imagine if MVC had a story and kept going and MvC2 showed what happened to everyone and continued the story, etc. It is seperate from the original games because it is the huge crossover nonsense game where you get to pick your favorite characters from your favorite SNK games and fight each other.
KOF is more than a dreammatch. it is its own reality. (meanwhile, something like Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, now that’s a dreammatch with no rhyme or reason other than to have crossovers, but KOF invented its own lore and reality that is ongoing. )
and it’s a better continuity and timeline than any other SNK world. Garou sure is stale and boring compared to KOF’s universe (and MOTW flopped hard in both roster and storytelling, and made the mistake SFIII made leaving most favorites behind. legends shouldn’t age. I mean just look at Bugs Bunny and Reimu from Touhou. Plus Garou on its own is a very dull franchise. even with AOF merge it’s not enough. Im glad KOF is kind of like the DC Universe equivalent of SNK universe, while also having integrity to not go to over the top with crossovers. Yea I know KOFXIV is getting Another World team, but it’s still not NGBC tier of ridiculous roster picks. ).
KOF is the formula SNK characters really needed to establish a much superior timeline, universe and franchise. KOF stopped being a dreammatch after KOF94’s success. the only KOFs that aren’t canon and are pure dreammatches, are 98, 2002 and XII, which are outside the KOF story arcs.

Alright I just have to ask why does kula look so night and day here. I mean I see the graphical improvements with eveyone else but kula really leaped as far as graphics go. The one thing I noticed is that her skin and clothing texture no longer look like plastic. instead she looks like something you would expect from a PS4 game. I just have to wonder why the rest of the roster isn’t up to her level as far as graphics go. If they could just get everyone to that quality this game would look amazing.
