I can still get buttons there fixed or probably fix them myself. I’ll try and check it out today at some point.
Gotch Ya.
The amount of armchair players for this game is nuts
1st Day, How is this team? (In order…)
K’
Hwa
Saiki
Those are the guys that really caught me. How do they fair? What should I be learning? I’m completely lost!
Sounds solid. Meter build and usage wise, that’s a pretty optimal order for the team. K’ doesn’t need too much meter, Hwa Jai could do 750-840 Damage using HD and 1 Stock, and Saiki could do 1000 damage in the corner with HD and 3 Stock. K’ could plow down teams due to his almost 1-dimensional, simplistic, but dominant nature and could cover many basis. Hwa Jai requires more understanding of fundamental spacing and the ability to be able to pressure with mainly normals and anti-airing with stuff like slides and canceling the slides into knockdown attacks such as dp+D. Then you have Saiki which is pretty much the most “shoto” character in the game with some fun tools such as st.D, Iori-like air control with air-to air normals, airborne sobat kicks that change his momentum, command grab super, and among other things. So he’s also a well rounded character that could do anything from keeping a strong neutral game and having decent, basic offensive pressure and mix-ups. Also with him it’s good to understand how he controls the air with grounded normals in addition to air-to-air normals. He has a decent cl.C but it doesn’t reach as far as Kyo’s or Iori’s so it might be slightly more prone to whiffing but it’s not that big of an issue and still works great for anti-air and normal throw option selects, a good cr.C for vertical anti-air but the absolute tip of the move doesn’t extend as fast as cl.C does but does have longer vertical range than cl.C, st.A is great against hops, then stuff like cr.B or Sweep works well against people that did early jump-ins to try to stuff your other anti-air normals but would whiff if you happen to crouch.
So other than getting adjusted to your meter usage and balance of your characters, you just have to learn a lot of basic spacing control to really dominate with characters such as Hwa Jai and Saiki and you really have to be on point with anti-airs to make sure nothing gets past you and you really earn all the damage you possibly can. K’ can dominate basic air space with pretty much one move, j.D. Characters running into K’s space from the ground or approaching from a super jump or a hop will all be stopped by a single move since it covers varying amounts of space in a fast manner. The others on your team require more thinking and commitment to particular jumping normals in particular spacings.
I hope my team becomes more refined, as I picked K mainly for his use as a battery. I was leaning to Ash, Kim, Elizabeth and Chin instead of K, Possibly King. I just want a solid team that I can stick with, Really.
No I get that, it just confuses me as to why, and if it can be replicated with other characters (Elisabeth for example).
Is it because HD mode is more lenient about when you can cancel a move? Like 623A6C is too “early” outside of HD mode, and if you delay the 6C then 23 is already outside of the buffer?
Got this game (wish the netcode was better cause i really wanna play this online bad)
how come in ranked match once someone enters the room and you see how bad the connection is you cant cancel the match
they really need to fix that
like benumaru, kyo (regular) and terry so far
Playing nothing but SF4 players online…
Checked it, didn’t find anything wrong with the C Button but the A button was definitely going out. Both of them are replaced now though.
Cool. Cool.
Shit! , must of meant :snka: then, myfault man.
Good Shit Black!
Got straight up bodied by a Chin player. That guy can do some crazy shit…
Also, online patch is great.
Im Loving Saki, Im pretty much just wondering whats the best spot to place em on my team.
Saiki works in any spot IMO
After a few days of testing and getting a feel for the characters, I finally found my two main teams.
Team A:
Kim
Elizabeth
Robert
Team B:
Mature
Kyo
Billy/Mr Karate
Online is great as well.
I’m starting to play Kim team now that I’m able to do big damage with Hwa Jai’s grape soda. Nice 800+ damage with a full Drive meter and 1 bar. I’m sure he can much more complicated stuff though, especially in HD mode.
Finally filled the last spot on my team. Rocking Clark, Terry, Maxima. Terry is really fun and wears chucks, Clark gets in that ass while tossing people off the screen and maxima punches people, has rocket skates and a laser chest.
Well, my time Ive been running since day 1 of when I picked up the game is K, Saki Iori.
I play a lot better with Saki on point for some reason, maybe its because I haven’t spent as much time with K & Iori as I have with Saki.
Running with any mix of:
Kensou / EX Kyo / K’ / Hwa / Benimaru / Shen
Drunk Hwa is too much fun, hitting people with like 10 heel kicks is pretty gratifying.
