Things I need to do: Stop accidentally activating HD mode anytime I hit C.
My solution: replace these sensitive-as-all-hell Sanwa buttons with Seimitsus. Hoping that it works.
Other than that, I also need to learn to hop consistently - but I’m just now switching from pad to stick, so I guess it’ll come with time. I also need to train myself to follow up counter hits, as well as remember to build meter with safe special whiffs after certain combos.
So I am having a character chrisis right now lol… who are the best rushdown characters in this game? I am pretty set on having XIII Iori on the squad but I need to figure out 2 more.
first time kof player. i’ve dabbled with kof in the past with emulators but never took it seriously and some of the lingo mixes me up. are Desperation Moves and Supers the same thing?
LOL! Actually I’d joked before that I was going to make “team 2cute” my actual team… but the “Team Arcana Heart” works better methinks.
I’ll probably try it out for a while once I get back to AZ, see how it goes. Not sure of the position if I do make her a part of the main team, though I’m thinking probably second (and putting Athena first, Yuri still anchor).
EDIT: My second squad is looking like Mai/Clark/Leona.
Debating Saiki, K’ or Billy for the final open spot on my main team.
I also didn’t notice before because I played all of XI on the default buttons for XIII, but the old SNK ABCD button layout may be much better for XIII.

So after tons of bouncing around, I decided to go with the Ikari Warriors team. I wanted to play a canon team and I’m getting better with these three.
So far the order is Leona/Ralf/Clark. I like to give Clark most of the meter cause he can take off 55% of the opponent’s life if they jump or 50% if they get hit by EX Gatling Attack while grounded. Ralf forces the opponent in the corner, where he gets most of his damage, especially in HD mode. He also has that armored hook as an anti-air. Leona has those gdlk normals that move her forward while still retaining the charge. I feel she has some mixups too with her EX Earring and EX Air slasher.
I’m a very novice Clark player myself and I have him on anchor as well. What’s the anti-jump combo though, It’s definitely not something I’m familiar with.
