KoF XIII General Discussion: Part II

Yeah, it’s not like I could do those long HD combos in a real match anyway. Smaller HD combos is the way to go.

Sup … clueless KOF newbie here. Looking for east coast (preferably northeast) players since nobody on my friends list plays kof. Really want to learn the game since I’m tired so of SF4. Feel free to add me on xbl. Currently playing duo/k/robert but who knows how that’ll change going forward…

Seriously! Chang should definitely be in.

I use my 1st and 2nd character to build meter and take out my opponent’s first character and whittle down their 2nd. Then I bring out Clark and clean house.

Not only that, but if you face against the CPU and pick [Random Team], NOT only does the stages change when you pick [Random], but the fuckin’ opponents does too.

I. LOVE. THIS. GAME.

^ Pretty much.

I have no problems driving an hour or two away to compete in this game.

Seriously.
Who needs online play when they have great features like this?

You’ll be half-way learning your match-ups in no time with that shit.

tries cancelling rekka into DM

hands feel dumb

:[ Is there some shortcut trick or something? Going qcf+P then qcb hcf+P is beyond me right now.

I’m not even concerned with the beginning part lol. jD jB jBD

I think you have to bite the bullet there, X, and have to buffer it off the rekka. So just real, real fast.

Oh damn, I didn’t even realize this (haven’t done too much versus yet). That is all kinds of excellent.

I hate the fact that I have to import most of my games. My KOFXIII copy will arrive next week. Damn! Can’t wait to finally have some serious lab time with the game. All hail the king!

I hope this game gets some CVS2 OGs as players.
When pros play it, lots of people start picking it up.

IPW has been very supportive of KOF13 and given it lots of exposure, but I think I disagree with your premise; MK9 had a lot of pro players in the beginning, thanks to the PDP tournament, but that alone didn’t get other players playing, and the game has kind of fizzled since. There are a lot of reasons for this that I’m not going to get into, but the bottom line is that if the game is good, all players will play it, and if the game isn’t that good, then it doesn’t matter how many tournaments Justin Wong wins, people aren’t going to want to spend their time learning a bad game.

Let’s be honest here, if CAPCOM isn’t on the case, majority doesn’t give two shits.

I’d love to disagree with you, but I don’t think that I can :(.

This game feels so much like CvS2, I love it. A little heavy on the offense, but that’s what KOF is.

It’s in my top 3 FGs now.

I swear, this is the best review, I’ve read on the game so far.

One of my friends says that his guy has the EX characters and stages, but that it doesn’t let you run a standard character and the EX version on the same team. So like…no Takuma/Ryo/Mr. Karate or Kyo/Goro/NESTS Kyo, etc.

Is this true? Can anyone confirm it?

considering I think you have to push start on the EX character, probably not.

i’m just guessing though since that how you’re picking them.

You’re right. I was just asking for another guy of mine. Apparently you haven’t ever been able to. I didn’t use any EX versions in older games so I didn’t have a clue. Quite a few people who had their minds set on running doubles in XIII are gonna be a bit mad lol.
