King of Fighters XII has been pushed back to 7/27. Gamestop was just sitting on changing the date because it’s not a big release for them, and they couldn’t give less of a shit if they wanted to.
Wait what?! Now it’s been pushed back to the 27th again? Do retailers not have the game or are they simply not selling it till the 27th?
I’m confused. 
I don’t mind the delay, but a concrete release date would be awesome.
No suprise. Kinda poor form on Gamestop’s part, however. But the writing has been on the wall for weeks, and just about anyone who purchases domestic SNKP publications should have at least partially expected this.
Yet this still looks a bit better. At least it’s in line with the official facebook date. Normally, we wouldn’t even have THAT much to work with!
Just means a bit more time to play some other games…
I still wouldn’t be surprised if some people get it early even though the date shifted again.
You guys are seriously fanatical though. All the time you’re spending waiting with baited breath for the earliest opportunity to get your hands on the game, checking every place on the web, etc., etc., you could spend that time playing something else.
Well I’ve been calling up Gamestops here in Philly, and it seems that nobody even knows what the game is. You’d swear I was asking them for Guilty Gear Isuka or something.
Well I was hoping that I’d get at least one user or professional review about the game’s net code, but it seems like I’m just gonna have to find out for myself tomorrow.
Even if this game turns out to be a commercial disaster, I’ll get it anyway, I think it’s important for SNK’s US fanbase to try to stick together on this one in hopes they will eventually release the KOF equivalent to Steet Fighter IV.
Target doesn’t sound like they are gonna carry it. That’s how low in demand this game is. It’s really messed up.
Gamestop says this friday, and I 80% believe them this time. okay maybe 50%.
But I doubt they would change it again. I’m calling again tonight to make sure.
I’m also gonna try Best Buy again.

…No, it isn’t Ignition’s doing, it’s everyone getting their hopes up because Gamestop decided not to change their date until the last minute.
In the future, however, to properly convey a question with a hint of irritation, you may want to include an additional seven or eight question marks.
i called today and they told me they’re still getting it friday and i should call them somewhere between 10-12 PM Tomorrow
Doing the same thing, I completely regret picking that game up. Not to derail the topic but did you trade the weird DVD/CD shit that came with the game? If so, more cashflow for that stuff? Definitely not going to use it. Ha.
I will be unbelievably pumped if they drop this early, but I kind of doubt it.

I’m not traveling there until they tell me over the phone they have it in stock. 
Don’t get your hopes up. Trust me on this one. It would be fantastic if you did get this on Friday, but it’s highly unlikely.

If they hold back on their promise it’s coming this Friday, Gamestop are freaking jackasses for fooling their customers like this. This close to release, they should definitely know when they are receiving it.
If this is some strategy to get more pre-orders in before getting the game shipped to them, it’s a wasted effort on their part.
I think Best Buy and other stores heard about the early shipments and complained enough to Ignition to halt those shipments from reaching those stores before the 28th.

Most stores had shipping the 23rd, now they say shipping the 27th. They did put a little disclaimer stating ship dates can be scheduled to change.
It looks like the game won’t be available until the 27th/28th. Funny how much things can change in a day.

Lil’ bit of an overstatement there, duder, it’s literally a difference of four days. Just be glad you’re not in Europe, pretty sure they’re getting it the end of August.
they always have been reliable with every other game I bought from them.
It was never this bad, except maybe for KOFXI.
