if u r going for a charged C+D most times it will be blocked… so u should cancel it into qcf+B since u can do 2B, 2A, 2A into a hit confirmed DM or just 6B if u don’t have the bar… or if u r sure it will be blocked… u can do qcf+B into D, C+D xx whatever…

duo lon in xii is very badly nerfed from xi… so constantly trying to pressure is going to get u killed… u gotta sorta play like dhalsim… stay away and annoy them… duo’s damage output is pretty crappy… so once u annoy them enough with 6A and 6B and air 6A and 6B air 6B combos with 6A or 6B from miles away u can get them to open up a bit… so in the middle of all that close the distance from time to time using qcf+B or hyper hop 6B, and quick low combos like 2B, 2A, 2A. 6A or 6B and hop B or D, C, qcf+C, qcf+C, qcf+B, 2A will net u some good damage… and often u will have meter and whenever u do use it in combos…

also quick strings like 2B, 2A xx qcf+B will let u mix-up cross-up attempts depending on how u do it… and i find that he also heavily relies on his throw as after certain blocked strings into qcf+B lets u pressure the opponent and thus setup his throw easily… also try to land a CC in every round if possible… it cuts down the amount of work u have to do which is a whole lot by half…

I know what you’re saying about the 236B pressure strings, but I think you missed my point.

You can cancel a charged CD into a move, something that isn’t normally able to be done. I was looking at possibilities of cancel a charged CD into something else besides 6A (which is the easiest to get) and what kind of follow ups you can use to bait and punish.

I did more testing and was able to cancel a charged CD into 236B, but getting it 214B was near impossible to time. So what I can understand right now after another hour of testing, you can’t cancel a charged CD without using a directional cancel.

In other words, I couldn’t cancel CD into 5C. It would’ve been really sweet if you could, but unfortunately you can’t. And even though 6A works fairly easy, somehow you can’t stick in 6D. 6D on counterhit nets an easy dash-in 2A starter, and we all know what that means!

oh ok i get what u meant… yah i think the reason 6D doesn’t work is cause charged C+D is only cancelable by specials, DMs and command moves…
