So is everyone using the default button layout? Anyone using class SNK? Because CF has the SNK layout even though it isn’t technically correct.
I gotta say some of the english voicework is pretty funny, lots of lols to be had.

since im stuck on pad, the defaults are the same as every other game, but to play on the stick, I also use the same layout they have at CTF (The AH layout)

A PATCH is coming out on the 28th of July for Ps3 ,but the 360 Patch is unknown at this time.
KOF XII Facebook Group Update:
King of Fighters XII: We understand that there have been some concerns raised about performance during online play. A patch for the both platforms is being worked on which should help with those gamers experiencing issues. While I don’t have an exact date for the Xbox 360 version, the PS3 patch should be available by the street date July 28, 2009.

man, this game is niiice. yea, 1p modes are lacking, but the game is still hella fun!

I’m so happy they broke the street date on this game. I’ve only been able to play for a few hours, but I’m having a lot of fun with this game.
Oh, and the fact that you can link command throws into combos is so awesome. Maybe you could do this in older KoF games and I just sucked at it, but I’m having a blast goofing around with Raiden (who totally likes like a fat Lucia wrestler now, HA!).
The main thing I would say about this game is that I want more of it. I want more time to explore the current roster, and I hope they do release new characters and stages down the road.
OMG Joe’s CC potential is sick!
I really need to learn how to CC better, the AI did a CC against me with Raiden and did a ridiculous amount of damage just headbutt/headbutt/roll/headbutt… it looked so badass. I need to go play some more!

This game is awesome. I am a complete Kof noob and I might have trolled a bit before in this thread sorry. I was excited and confused as to why they went back to 94’s moveset with most characters. I really want to get better at this and 98um.
Im the only player in my town that doesnt play sf4 or blazblue, I play BB from time to time, But you get what im saying. I think I know that good online is necessary, But in the end its not gonna make you a pro player.
I’m pretty decent in kof and i have basically only played online. I mean there’s tourneys here and there (hopefully with increasing occurrence in the future). Hell, the only offline tourney in KOF I’ve been to so far was last Season’s Beatings, and outside the actual small tourney there was almost no casuals. The tourney was fun but I didn’t really get better at all or learn anything new (no offense to Luigi-Bo, thanks for playing me). Why? Cause hardly anyone plays KOF unless Dark Geese comes to a tourney.
I will be playing KOFXII with players in my area most definitely, and I am hopeful for comp, but I am expecting to be the ‘teacher’ in that scene. If I want to level up, I have to be the one being taken to school if you know what I mean. Traveling to 3 or 4 big tourneys a year is cool, but you need to be able to play consistently week to week with players your own level to get better. I do not have that in my area, at least not yet. I have to be able to play the few guys in LA, the few guys in TX, the few guys in Canada, the few guys in STL, the few guys in ATL on a week to week basis or I will simply not be able to get significantly better. I just don’t have the money or time to travel across the country and back every week, and I doubt most people do either, which is why the best players are in the most densely populated areas. But now you got Damdai beating Alex Valle and Grahm Wolfe? Damdai plays online. Of course I’m sure he has also had a ton of tourney experience, but I’m also sure that good online and being able to play regularly against good players has helped him.
Anyway this is pretty much off-topic, but yea online is important, at least to me.
Dont get me wrong, Its important to me. But I will never consider myself a top player simply because I abuse the lag and mash qcf p all day.(ALL DAY SON)

Doing those won’t help you become a pro player.
But the thing that helps you on online play is the psychology.
It makes you read enemy and adapt faster. This is what I like about online that could really help you in tourneys.

I love the game the more i play it im having fun online and i love the gameplay. i just feel like i bought the demo and not a full game
Im so sick of online noel T_T I havent really played kof XII online, So most of my hate goes towards BB. My only gripe with XII is that its just too damn laggy, Like it even lags when the character select screen comes up…I’ll wait on the patch :<
