KOF XII comes out on July 28th

Closed minded huh? Lets examine this closer.

This is your original post, yet you call me a closed minded fuck?

Now you claim to be playing fighting games for a long time yet the pinnacle of fighting games is SF4 to you? Oh you 09er.

Its just something to kill time with since the only arcade we have is a piece of **** anyway with only T5DR and MvC2 in it. ~ .~

Thats not what im trying to say, You cant really call yourself a pro player when you’re just an online person. :V

OK sorry, but there is this rumor I heard that there were some changes made to the console release, like Ralf having limited follow-ups after his Vulcan Punch; can anyone confirm/deny this?

Trying to explain this to people that haven’t already figured it out on their own is a wasted effort.

That’s not everyone’s goal, some people want to have fun, and just don’t have easy access to pro sources, especially with a game as niche as KOF.

Yea, And im one of those people. But you got a ton of people saying they can beat you because they are so and so rank at so and so game, It tends to get on your nerves.

Some people can be retarded online, not everyone is that stupid though.

I never said everyone was did I?

Online persons.

Your opinion would change if you heard even a fraction of the Stormfront wannabe preteens spouting vitriol on Live.

for games that arent popular, good online is necessary to level up for many people

True that. Not everyone is lucky enough to have enough of the right kind of asians (ethnicity) in their area to have mom and pop video game stores, arcades, or chinatowns (which always seem to get the latest games). For those of us in said states, the last new arcade games we ever saw were Svc and T5. Those are the latest fighters you can find in any arcade in my area for damn near 300 miles in any direction, and from what I’ve heard online, other states outside of New York, Cali, and a couple odd ducks like Virginia are also feeling the sting.

Good post. You deserve some rep for that sir.

This seems like one of joes best GAMES in th early stages. That DP kick he has is stupid good now. I’m going to fuck with more characters over the weekend.

It’s 2009 now, not 2006.

We have certain things in 2009 that we didn’t have in 2006, such as competition, and viable online play to help people level up. Also, many people now who were in the FGC are older, have lives, and some of them work on weekends and can’t make that many tournies. For those people, netplay is vital. Also, any new blood the FGC gets, it’s going to start from online. Starting via online is a lot less intimidating then showing up to tournies, waiting 2-3 hours not knowing anyone, then going 0-2.

Online does affect which games I play- I’m still playing STHD due to the fact I can pop it in, wait a few seconds, make sure the game doesn’t crash (Backbone you suck), and find a good match.

Honestly, I’d rather have SF4 then a brand-new, completely-redrawn fighter that doesn’t get the job done. (Not meant to be a knock on SF4, which is a very good game) Economically, we as consumers have no reason to care about the effort companies put it, just the results.

The one thing I agree with you on is giving it a few days to see if it’s fixed. It’s possible the netcode isn’t ready yet.

Hopefully this doesn’t tarnish what seems to be a really good first effort from SNK gameplaywise, the first time they’ve done that with a KOF ever.

Just to let you people know KOF XII also allows you to play custom music while you play the game on the ps3 version. Its the same method as street fighter IV.

ah sweet

And God knows each and every one of your friends is at least the equivalent of a pre 09 SRK member.

Not everybody lives in California, New York, or Japan…sheesh.

Yeah you didnt say that but thats what it is.

ive been playing online today the connections been good.
So far im liking Robert, Terry, Joe, Athena & Kyo. Im gonna try everyone out though.
