Yes it’s a combo. But it’s not like this is a big deal because everyone can run up and combo a standing attack into a CD. Other characters can actually cancel the CD into a special or super for more damage. The only thing Clark could juggle with is vulcan punch, and I don’t think that even works outside of the corner (and even there it’s going to do pitiful damage). Also note that a CD is going to push them across the screen unless they’re in the corner… not exactly advantageous positioning for Clark.
I don’t know the specifics, but there is a definite frame disadvantage when canceling a blocked hard attack into hop. If the opponent is alert they can mash on low A or low B and beat anything you try. If you’re canceling off standing/crouching C -> CD, you might not be in range to tick into SAB without moving forward a little bit. If your opponents aren’t alert you might be able to get away with this stuff, but whenever I tried here people would just mash on low B so I couldn’t do anything.
I am actually interested in playing with Clark. But every time, I come into the thread, I am disappointed. Seems like all anyone can do is complain how Clark is horrible. I don’t really get anything out of his thread, except this combo sucks and this move sucks. Even with his limited moves, why don’t you guys just post some efficient attacks and combos.
Lord BBH, you sound like you know a lot about Clark. But every post I see about him from you is that he sucks. In fact I’ve seen more than 10 post from you on why Clark sucks. For character, you don’t like playing, you sure do like talking about him.
Actually I am going to deal with it by accepting it. I am still I am going to use him over Daimon and Raidan. I am not going to waste my time by going into his character specific thread and bash him every second I get. Why do you even post here? Its like its your life mission to let the world know that Clark is worst fighter in the world. Why don’t you stick with Iori, since you proclaim that he is the best fighter that ever existed.
He’s actually backing up his reason for saying that Clark sucks with reasonable arguments. He’s also been posting more info about Clark than anyone else in this damn thread too.
Ok I am idiot for wanting to be positive about a “low tier” character. I did acknowledge that he know a lot about Clark in my first post. But I hoping people would accept it and just find ways to use him. His recent post got me rile up, which really stupid of me. He is a pro, I am beginner, so I accept that he knows more than me. I just don’t understand why he comes here and trash the character every second he gets.
maybe he’s more hurt about Clark having all his great stuff taken away.
you can win casual matches with Clark, they are just laying the facts that Clark is not as good as they were, and not expected to win against better characters in high skill matches. it’s possible though.
What about trying to pin them down with pokes after the c+d xx hop? Like say c, c+d xx hop, c.d? That’s how I imagined you would get more SAB attempts when they want to block pokes after the hop.

I want to thank you for the video. As for the problem for discussing strategy or possible strategy. I am taking a wild guess, but the Portland Crew have decided that Clark is worst fighter in the world. So anyone who wants discuss possible strategies or combos are fanboys. According to them we need accept that Clark sucks and bash him like they do :looney:
I think that sarcasm is just too harsh. Like in any game, the anger comes from love for a character that just isn’t as good as they are supposed to be. Clark’s throws are weaker compared to other characters and his normals don’t balance it out so it’s in large more up to the player to find “tricks” with Clark to make him more viable rather than have solid strategies.
I’ve been reading through this entire thread and I know nothing of Clark, but the arguments were interesting to read. In the end Clark is a shitty grappler compared to grapplers and you can’t go about trying to learn to play him in any standardized fashion.
Also the video doesn’t really prove much, it just proves that on that given game, that Clark won that player the game. Does it mean he has the anti-Athena or best Clark in all of KoF12dom? Learn what you can from the video and see if it works for you.

I know Clark is one of the weakest fighters in the game. But I I am still sure he has some decent combos and strategies that we can use. This thread is basically a big bashing post. Half-Ro, I suggest you look somewhere else for information you need about Clark. You not going to find anything here.
bro, you pretty are asking to be flamed by the people who contribute the most to this thread!!! its true that they bash clark, but they state there reasons which actually helps than hurts because it lets you know his limitations and what you can or cannot do while playing him which helps alot. I was just like you man, but its not gonna help being optimistic about a character that doesn’t have potential, just accept it and play the character anyway… so you can kick ass with him :nunchuck:

i saw that charged C+D but does it have knock-back properties? if it does then sure it could work in the corner but…
Well it’s an information thread, I wouldn’t dissuade people from using it and most likely they won’t listen anyways, but that’s not the point. I just think people are replying to your fanaticism towards Clark, they give information on the character as well as possibly strategies, but if anything, you should realize that picking Clark means you’re going to lose a lot more at the start with him then you are going to win with him as compared to picking a team with “better” characters. It does matter somewhat for beginners since better tools are better tools, doesn’t matter who is using them.
This can work provided they’re not quick enough on the draw to poke back. If they don’t react to the hop in time and then decide to press a button too late, you can potentially have your poke out there first and beat them to the punch, yes.
Yes, a charged guard break CD gives you a free dash-up SAB or DM. I guess this is a pretty important tactic for Clark because he doesn’t have much else. Just be careful when you charge CD’s, as you can get CC’d out of the charge.
Who said cr. B, cr. A xx SAB doesn’t work? Because it does. It’s just that the SAB doesn’t have as much range as other grabs like Raiden’s hcf+K, so you have to be pretty close to combo it.
Seriously, you sound so butthurt over this. You say all I’m doing is complaining about Clark, when all you’re doing in this thread is complaining about my complaining. If you’re tired of my posts, maybe you should stop posting entirely instead of giving me more shit to reply to.
And why do I post here? Because I’ve actually played the game, and I’ve played the character. I post in the other character threads too, but I’ve noticed that when I’m making useful posts in these threads, they get ignored. People end up asking questions about stuff that was already posted. So I might as well address people’s posts and just go from there. If my posts come across as bashing the character… who cares? Why get riled up over what some guy on the internet thinks?
Yep, you’re not going to find anything here. Besides all the info I’ve posted and questions I’ve answered. It’s funny how you just decide to ignore those posts and decide to think of me as some asshole that hates Clark and never posts anything productive.
