D version kuuhadan is also viable after you crumple with CD in the corner, you get all the hits and you can follow up with A version shoryudan or reset for mixup goodies i think andy has one of the strongest mixup games out of any character, i know its early to say that but he has more potential than whats being shown by the arcade players, cookin up some good stuff right now in the lab

the elbow’s a charge move in this game so f.A->elbow probably won’t work

kuuhadan does more damage anyway

f.A xx hcf B is your best bet for combos (breaking, then shoryudan actually does less damage)

A CC Combo I found for good ol’ Andy

DP+A x3, DB~F+A, CC END, HCF+K~BD, CD

From here, he has 3 choices

A. SUPER (Anywhere)

B. HCF+K~BD, CD, SUPER (The first BD Break must hit on the tip, or doing this part is rather hard, possibly corner only, good chance this will carry to corner though)

C. HCF+K~BD, CD, HCF+D, DP+C (BD must hit tip, last CD must hit near/in corner for rest to connect, this does almost as much as option A)

Does this DB mean down + B?

Also, in the other thread it lists “Andy: f+A xx qcb+A, f+A, j.D,j.D, close C xx f+A xx qcb,hcf+K [56%]” as a combo, but I can’t continue the CC at all after the f+A xx qcb+A at the very beginning. Any tips?

DB = Downback, guess I should have did that notation a bit better.

Also miss that CC combo completely, I’ll give it a whirl tomorrow.

I think he might be able to do CC>Elbowx4>CD>hcf+D>BD>CD>Super/(HCF+D>DP+C) For even more damage. But it’s really hard.

He does good damage meterless. I’m having issues finding a use for his super other than do it after down B>down B>f+A>Super

CC Combos

CC-F+A x3- CD x2- Super Does about 500 Works Midscreen and Corner

CC-F+A, Zaneiken (A) x2 Zaneiken ©- CD Super does about 512 if done properly mid screen about 500 in corner

CC-Zaneiken x3-4-CD-Super Does about 522 if you can do it midscreen properly (Got it twice so) Works in corner too :smiley:

CC-Shoryuudan (A) x3, Zaneiken C (time it properly or you’ll miss), CD~Super Does about 500-520 Midscreen only definitely one to learn. Also yes you can do a 4th Shouyuudan but I believe it will end the CC.

CC-F+A, Zaneiken A, F+A, Zaneiken A, CD Super. Not totally sure about this if it will work all the time as I only did it once by accident.

Corner Only:

CC-Shoryuudan (A) x4~CD Super Decent Corner does about 500 if done properly.

All my own so no I did not look at any videos or tutorial sites These all came from me so if said already I did not know about it.

ALSO if you do not have meter you can finish it other ways. And learn spacing for Zaneiken.

I found a cool combo do a light hishouken (fireball) full screen once it gets thrown start running, when you are able to the soonest, jump with a heavy punch or heavy kick air attack, then light kick heavy kick 2 hit chain combo for a grand total of 4 hits!!! Neato!

So if anyone out there wants to write that out in combo notation go for it super studs!

His super is not really useful outside of comboes IMO. But forward + A is so easy to hit then comboing into his super should be all you need to make good use out of it.

Another good combo is hp–> f. + LP–> super(or any one of his specials combo here, if you dont feel like hit confirming the hisho ken will combo and its pretty safe and easy to do). Its nice to punish whiffed/blocked moves with.

The only non combo way i found to land his super is as an anti-air, which is tough but some people love to super jump over fireballs from full screen so you can bait people with that and land the super that way.

EDIT: Someone earlier in the thread asked if the zaneiken is safe on block and it is, both versions. Not sure who has frame advantage but you cant be punished after it.

Dont know how many people do this/know about it but a nice zaneiken tactic is do a LP version just outside of the range it will hit, andy stops in front of them and its very easy to throw them as most people are wating for the zaneiken to connect before countering, dont abuse the tactic but using it sparingly results in free damage and an easy lead into a wake up game.

Confirmed that combo just now. It is quite difficult at first but deals 581 damage (delay the super, or you’ll get 564 damage instead).

If you replace the super with another hcf+D, dp+C it deals 531 damage

qcf+p isnt’ giving me his elbow dash. can anyone explain why.

It doesn’t need to be fixed, Zaneiken or whatever is [1]6+K or db~f+K as it says.

It does say that his fireball is QCF+P and I’m pretty sure it’s QCB+P (it’s been a while, KOF12 hasn’t received the love it deserves from me)

Zaneiken is done with P not K and his fireball is 214+P

I like how this game uses multiple voice samples for speciials…but what’s up with Andy doing the Kuuhadan and sometimes saying “Eihadan”?

I believe K is often silent in Japanese if the word starts with it

Never heard THAT one before, and I’ve been listening to japanese stuff since the mid 90’s. I know that sometimes if a word starts with a “ku”, like Kyo’s family name, for instance, it’s often pronounced as “K’sanagi”. But even by that instance," Kuuhadan" wouldn’t become “Eihadan”.

i need a quick list of normals that can link/combo into his DM… also any normals that can be used in place of his DP for spacing/zoning needs… anybody else think his fireball is a tad too slow?

Some words are pronounced silent not all sorry ^^
