Damage is hella random in KOF XI, like sometimes combos will do wierd amounts of damage. There was a video for it up on youtube for awhile with Maxima i think.
Jyazu is great, and has good lockdown, too bad once he starts getting rushed down, if you don’t have meter your prolly gonna die.
I use Jazu 2nd, so yes he does rape w/ meter, but I don’t think he needs it to survive.
For jumpers rDP+K
For low jumpers QCB+P (since you have to be quick to react)
to punish QCB+P
I’m tryin to get my friend to bring his camcorder to record some matches.
I wanna show the world a good simple Jazu, and prove to DG my Ozzy is almost as good as that 1 guy’s.
I thought damage was based on how much life the opponent had left… ie if do the combo when they have full life it will take off A LOT more than if i did it if they had less than half their life…
well i finally got to play this game at home and have it, but for some reason i feel really weird and it does hold my attention like 2002 or 2003 did for some reason, it just feels weird, maybe i need more competition i got no one to play it with:sad::annoy:
That is true. But do the same combo twice on the same character and it randomly won’t do the same amount. It’s very slightly different, but it’s there, I’m guessing it’s similar to the random damage in ST.
If you want fun I’d say Pick ramon, he’s always fun to do random canceling and stuff with. He’s got some interesting gimmicks like sweep xx qcb+c, insta hyperhop d into command grab other such things. He makes a great battery, so you can use him at the start of your team. If it was me I’d play this team
Ramon, Clark (L), Duck
Ramon will build meter and work his way through the other team, clark will use the meter to land his godly ldm and Duck don’t need shit he’s too good all by himelf. Id say the only thing you are missing is use for you skill stock, no good QS combos, but your old team didn’t have that many either cept for some stuff with duck and adel. But since Ramon isn’t the best you can always just use your stock for saving shift.
Also generally I don’t answer team building questions, cause it’s all preference imo and finding what team dynamic works for you.
Ahhh okay thx man, as for my old team I actually found better stuff with Jazu and Duck togeather. Like Jaza’s punch super then qs with duck’s bnb set that up for duck’s deadly rave super and you got yourself mad damage.
This the best I’ve done with Duck and Jazu in comboing, in the corner do Jazu’s Air :qcb: + :snka: or :snkc: , then follow up with cr.:snka: , st.:snkc: , :qcb: + :snkc:, XX cancel into :hcb: :r: + :snka: or :snkc:, now at any time while he’s hitting you between this super QS with Duck’s J.:snkd: St. or Cr.:snka:x2, St.:snkb:, :r: :snkc:, then do :hcb: :r: :snka:x3, :snkb:, :snka:, :snkc:x2, :snkd:, :snkc:, :dp: + E.
yeahh I try and do qs combos that don’t use meter or much meter. It’s just cause duck has some full stun combos with oswald and others… I never really like jyazu for quick switch I like him for meter building and such.
I don’t understand how you can use Jazu as battery.
With 1 power stock, and 1 skill point (yes I know it’s a waste) Jazu can do 45% standing close.
And you don’t always have to SC is QCB+P, I just press C, HCB, f+P.
That would make QS’s a little more simple, just for 1 more power stock.
I’m gonna post some Jazu lockdowns and strat (mines) later
He builds meter like crazy with some of the best keepaway in the game. You can do about 45% off of one mixup, for no meter. I don’t use jyazu to do anything but frustrate the person. It’s mostly because I dislike his supers alot.
Finally I get it.
Everybody plays him as keepaway.
When I 1st picked him up, I played keepaway.
But I discovered it was very boring/repetative, I started playing him as rushdown and I’ve played him like that ever since.
I like his lockdowns and variety of specials.
But his supers are useless unless their comboed into.
P.S.
Can someone help me with some Eiji combos (no meter)
I don’t know any good ones.
2 hit hk into whatever
c.lp, close hp into whatever except pegaus kicks or reflector
c.hk for one hit into whatever
thats basically all you need to win with eiji, along with counter hit chi blast into lp fireball super
jazu’s super is anything but useless, infact i’ll say his punch super is one of the best supers in the game. the punch super has a lot of invincibility at startup, does mad chip damage, does huge damage when it hits, safe if blocked and even fairly safe if whiffed.
counter roll doesnt seem to work too well. for some reason, the hitbox of the super extends to his back. i’ve had opponents counter roll against my super at point blank and try to hit me afterwards only to trade hits.
how good is Todoh’s daughter on this one? i would like to pick her up if she aint too scrubby…
can some one hook me up with the tier list?..cause YEAH, i like to tier whore. .a.k.a. <----likes winning.
