I would do some tutorial vids for some of my characters, but I’m relatively sure most people who care know about as much about them as I do, so I usually don’t bother.
Also, you should add Kensou’s anything -> qcf, hcb + D -> vanessa infinite setup. Works from a little over half screen if done in the direction of the closest corner, mad hit confirmable, combos off of lights (easy buffer off of cr.b, cr.a or after a successful air-qcb+p, cr.a), only requires one stock and one meter.
yea man i hear ya, not enuff ppl do things like tutorial vids for the masses due to either they jus dont want ppl to kno, they jus cant do it, or jus plain laziness or sumfin lol. vanessa is 1 of them chars alot of ppl get intimidated due to her complicated gameplay. luckily i gotta nitche for chars like that lol, i normally figure out random stuff and new ways to play and all that good stuff. this time i got to present it in video form.
ahh as for that super, qcf, hcb+AorC i didnt bother showing that super in the vid cuz i dont think its that good damage wise. i mean i dont really use that super at all personally, so i’d suggest jus waiting till u get them to the corner wit a quickshift combo to get to infinite. chars like kyo can take the enemy to the corner if ur going wit vanessa as leader. hell any char wit rekka kens for that matter can get u to the corner or close to if u can land that 1 combo they’re dead. or my personal team which consist of gato and malin cuz vanessa doesnt need to be leader as long as they’re both on the same team wit her. pretty much demonstrated that in the vid as well. i dig this team cuz its kinda like team buckethead in marvel magz/ironman/sent, dont get hit lol.
i would gladly make a duo lon tutorial, but i dont have a capture card i can use for my laptop.
Dude this game is awesome. I saw some crazy stuff at a florida tourney this weekend, I had never even seen this game being played before. Thanks to everyone here for the info sharing.
a Duo-Lon tutorial would be nice. Only tutorial for this game I’ve seen was one for Ash which was decent but nothing I couldn’t figure out myself.
Haha, yeah, I hear ya. I mainly use it for the “lol your character is dead” factor, not so much for damage really. I usually save the infinite for judgement/guaranteed wins or peacing out leader characters anyway. I’m thinking of switching Ryo out for Gato though and making Vanessa leader (purely for damage potential), but I enjoy the team as it is. Really, I just love Kensou’s setups because there’s so damn many ways to easily land that super into the corner; comboing off of lights is just the beginning, and mid-screen setups into dead character is just too nice to pass up IMO. <3

Besides the fact that you can get away with a LOT of stuff if you play a good Silber, but you can control the match even BETTER if you have L Silber. The other person can’t jump, do fireballs, or anything, as they’ll get fullscreen punished by your LDM. If somebody is desperately rushing you down, just do a counter super, and posssibly cancel into your LDM.

btw, to Venessa players or Shin, i cant seem to cancel Venessa’s f+A onto a weave. is there a specific time where i have to cancel it after or during the first hit?
f+A must be chained in to, to be able to cancel into a weave.
A naked f+A is not cancelable. But something like A>f+A or d+A>f+A is.
