I use Jazu’s LDM most. It catches jumpers and people who try to roll towards Jazu for a combo. Jenet’s LDM is too limited.
Jazu’s ldm is probably the best choice, only because if you get the spacing right, it does sooo much damage. I actually really like Jyazu and am thinking about incorparating him back into my teams. I want to really play him serious as he is a good battery so probably
Jyazu/Oswald(L)/Duck
he has some decent easy to switch out from things, and I haven’t tested this yet but I’m thinking an easy ace setup for oswald off his ground fireball. Plus I know some funny tricks with him like crossup spinny thing.
Jazu’s LDM is so good. I’ve caught SO many people trying to rush jazu only to eat at least two of the flame collums doing a good chunk of damage, plus it fits in real well if you’re playing runaway/projectile whoring with Jazu.
If you’re gonna rush with Jazu I suggest spazzing St.E since it’s fast as fuck AND knocks down. Mix this up with random QCB+P’s and Jazu’s fireballs.
yes but i see kim as the best start character (at least in a team like that) so putting him leader its a big risk 'cause he have the highest probs to die first
eh? from few step after midscreen you can setup ash’s in many ways…from command throw or standalone
in corner is deadly 'cause you can do the overhead into sommersault cancel chain or linking the oh from standB that hits low…
once active ash in sans culotte mode is a beast
kim is a great partner to ash, 'cause you can always tag on the second hit of the sanren geki to make ash come in with an air A to link with sans culotte
Okay so this is sorta random and I could really use some help testing it. I just found this out messing in training mode with jyazu.
So you know he has the sweet tornado fireball, and I stated early (jyazu faq) it is possible to cross-people up with the spin wheel if you decide to try and reset them after the tornado fireball.
So anyway I was trying to find the optimal way to do this, because there are a couple of ways to do it. In paticular one stood out better than the rest, I turned the dummy to all guard, and then proceeded to do
cr.b, st.c xx hcb+b, walk forward just a step st.a, qcb+a.
Now the spacing for the walk forward is a bit strange so it’s gonna take a couple of tries till you get it but anyway, the result should be the spin whell should cross-up really deep as they are landing and the dummy will actually start blocking it, (now this only happens with this setup, a few other setups for the cross-up spin wheel the dummy won’t block it, but I know they still cross-up because I’ve done them to people before). Anyways, as the dummy blocked it as a cross up, jyazu kept spinning and the dummy kept blocking and then suddenly as jyazu was doing the upwards part of the spin attack, the dummy actually switched and had to start blocking the other way!!! As in the orignal way not a cross-up. So what I was wondering is, and I need peoples help to test this, Does a human player have to block this both ways. As in at the begining block it cross-up and then at the right time switch guards so they don’t get re-crossed up? Obviously either you’ll have to be bettter with the recording feature then I am or have a friend help, and test this out. Somehow I doubt you actually have to block both ways I’m pretty sure as long as you block the initial cross-up part right, as jyazu starts spinning up, the game will switch your guard for you, but that could be wrong. So yeah please help me test!
Oh and another quick thing with jyazu, if you corner someone and land the tornado fireball, if you do st.A into icicle, they will reset and the icicle will hit meaty, and you can actually just sit back and block and wait and see what happens. The opponent will try 1 of 3 things.
-
Get hit by the icicle - since it hit meaty you can easily link a st.a into combo of choice (IE- st.a,st.c xx f+c xx qcb+a or c, or st.a, st.c xx tornado fireball again and then remixup)
-
Block the icicle - sweet more random pressure! basically it just gets you more free pressure strings such as go for a low, or another safe string or whatever you want, like wait a sec and throw.
-
they try to use some invincible move to get - hey guess what your safe, just block and punish accordingly!
Pretty cool if you ask me!
Okay thanks all please test if you get the chance.
NINJA EDITS ZOOOMMM: Okay so for the jyazu thing I was talking about with the cross-up spinny thing, during the initial block of the cross-up, try and tag in a character and watch what side they came from, ZOMG the original side!!! WTF! It’s fucking crazy, oh man this is the most insane trick. I don’t know how anyone who wasn’t expecting this would ever react intime to block I mean all of a sudden your blocking jyazu spinny thing as a cross-up because you got luckky or guessed right or whatever, and then bam back from the original side in split second here comes duck king flying in with j.rh to re-cross you up. I need to make a video of this or something it’s insane.
Hopefully this all makes sense.

Interested peeps IM, PM, email me … thx have a good day =)
i’m not trying to start another flamewar. I was just wondering why you chose to ban the vanessa infinite? My opinion is it’s not that bad really, but yeah just wondering what your thoughts were on why it should be banned.
I’d money match you K4 but I live in texas…lol.
Yes evilmuff I did my part and was interviewed on the radio station Alphaism last night…
And I will be back…it was real fun…fastest hour to 2 hours in my life…
Oh yeah…Rengoku those are good points indeed about Kim etc…
Its annoying as hell, and makes u wanna punch the other player in the face. It also consumes a lot of time, so if they have judgement in favor, theres 20 seconds remaining, and if they manage to land the infinite corner setup on a character that has decent energy left … they already won the match.
Okay yeah makes sense.
Also hahaahha, at the first reason, tooo good.
Could somebody tell me which of Jenet’s moves/specials are SC-able? I see new ones in EVERY match/combo vid she’s in.
wtf are you getting this “impractical” business from? Ash’s LDM is a hell of a lot more practical in terms of setups and meter/skill costs than Shen’s, and Ash’s is a HELL of a lot better in the corner as well.
If you’re using Shen’s LDM, you’re going to use at least 3-4 bars + a skill point or two to make it worth your while. If you do that with Ash’s, at midscreen you’ve sealed their specials on top of however much damage, and in the corner you’ve done just as much if not more damage than the full Shen LDM combo and it’s not SS-able after the LDM hits, whereas there are points where your opponent can SS Shen’s combo.
Not to mention that Ash doesn’t actually need to blow that much bar in the corner to get a good combo off his LDM.
Neither of their LDMs is amazing all the time, but Ash has the better LDM for sure. The ONLY way Shen is going to get more damage off his LDM without blowing a ton of bar is if he hits it standalone, and the only way that does more damage than an Ash corner LDM combo is if it counter-hits.
first of all, i’ve never seen anyone have sucess with ashs LDM outside of the corner and chances are they wont be able to outside of a combo video.
blowing 3 bars and one skill meter on his midscreen LDM is not worth it for the shit damage it does. and lets not forget the fact that your opponent can tag out after getting hit by the sealant LDM.
shens LDM is basic, easy and fast damage that works. yes it takes 3 bars and at least one skill bar but so does ashs LDM excluding his corner command grab.
not only does shens LDM do as much as ashs LDM, he also have an additional 5-7 seconds during his power up where he can muster out as much damage as he can.
leader BJ is god tier if you know what your doing…
wtf stop DG yelling on the phone i cant understand what your saying…:wtf:
and when did they say kof11 for an american release? link?
yeah, leader BJ is god tier until they found out that some characters can just recover roll after being hit by the LDM and smack her when shes putting her shoe back on.
aww no love for crazy Jyzau tricks.
Hey my connection on the phone was very bad…but don’t worry I surely will be calling back as I said and I will hope things are clearer so don’t worry…my signal on the phone was bad…as was more than a couple of peoples that night of course…
me and K4 have seen this…and the fact that they have coming out the BEST HITS
With KofXI being one of the things they are bringing out…I will have to find the link…
Next time I will try to get in a better spot so the signal can be better…because I had to speak up because of the bad signal…
Yeah. Only 4 people play him…myself included.
I gave Jyazu a try today and I must say I feel safer with him then Shen.:wgrin:
ya know, i might not show up to the KOF gathering up here tonight…its a not really viable for me to play KOF from…11pm till about 5-6am when i hafta take my cousin to work at like 6:45am then call in available to take deliveries at 10am…
