For those unfamiliar with the KOF competitive community and for those who wish to improve there game by observing the performances of the elite players, I decided it would be a good idea to encourage the educated KOF players to collectivly contribute in building a list of the top 10 best players in “insert here” KOF tittle. I figured it would best to focus on the more"popular"and reconized KOF tittles since those tittles will realistically be getting the most play.
KOF98: Top Ten
KOF98 UM: Top Ten
KOF2002: Top Ten
KOF2002 UM: Top Ten
KOFXI: Top Ten
Above all else, this is mainly a reference point for fans to seek high level footage of said games. Let’s keep this civil and try to help spread the word on some trully awesome players out there.
I have a feelin it’ll be darkgeese and emil arguing and darkgesse misinterpreting stuff and retorting in an immature manner; and emil just being persistent and resilient and just keeps posts knowing the inevitable will happen. Thanks
EVO to make this thread better you should state the top ten in each country, or even better every state within that country, if you were going to do it that way, because top ten in the world as you know that is VERY VERY subjective.
Top ten in Mexico in a given game to a degree is subjective, but it is far less subjective than the top ten in the world that is very subjective so basically what everyone is saying is that it will stir up a pointless debate about who is the best in the world, with what Laban saying, XYZ relying on a high percentage from XYZ country and others that know of other countries relying on others as well.
Basically bottom line is that this is a very subjective discussion, which would technically go in circles on and on like the Who plays KOF the Best thread, because that thread is very subjective, and anyone who claims to know 100% without a certainty that XYZ is the best in the world I say please PM me and I’d be more than happy to have this discussion with you and hopefully you can come to the conclusion after this discussion that it is nearly impossible to know this when a game is played as much as KOF and Tekken (Most played fighting games in the world) unless you do a World Championship like I am setting up, An Olympics of sorts, and then you take all the SUBJECTIVITY out of it, and just like the Olympics, then we KNOW who is the best in the world at that time do we not??
The less the subjectivity the easier the argument.
I knew KOF was one of the top played fighters in the world, but I’m surprised Tekken is right there with it. With all the recent love for it, you’d think SSF4 was the top dog.
And at least we can say it’s not Justin Wong or Daigo
