KOF: MI2 / KOF 2006 - Strategy / Techniques / Combos

I read a few pages back and saw. Very interesting. I also saw someone citing a Falcoon interview about MI3 having “all characters ever” in it. Hope thats true.

I can see it now… Takuma accidentally rips a hole in space-time with a Haoh Shokoken and invites all the Samurai Showdown and Kizuna Encounter characters to come to KoF, sponsored by the NOW EVIL TEMPORARILY AGAIN Mr. Karate.

I really dont know. I guess they would though. I haven’t read much on the game.

Haha, on the whole SNK universe in the game idea. MI 3 will be on PS 3 and 360 so I expect a lot of people but the every character ever would be impossible I’m afraid.

of course that’s if you actually count Kyo-1, Kyo-2, O.Kyo, Kusanagi, Candy ( would she just be a Kula outfit like MI2 or an actual character? ) O.Rugal ( as opposed to just Rugal ), Yuki ( wtf Gals Fighter ) and if they keep K9999 and Angel

Hopefully they will go above and beyond at grab at every KoF, Fatal Fury, and Art of Fighting character, at least.

yeah Xiao Lon seems pretty crazy right now, like a mix between Jivatma and Ninon with the teleporting and everything, but I’m just wondering who the other three characters are, but who ever it is I’m sure will be a perfect transition from 2-D to 3-D.

But in terms of MI2, I realize that Luise is very good, I’m tryin to master her ROM-like combos and resets, she’s crazy. And does anyone knows how to do that Yuri mid-screen combo that’s being shown in Jap vids, if so can ur write it down

I just found out some crazy stuff for Luise. Check this out

F+B, U/F+C, Air Dash Cancel, C, repeat: Luise’s ROM (basically like a psudo-infinate, usually stops after 3 reps)
F+B, U/F+C, D, Air Dash Cancel, late C: ROM reset (air combo reset, can lead to a mix-up afterwards)

Hyper Hop, B is a good move to use, gives a knockdown on hit, which you can follow up with whatever moves you want to use as an oki game.

Back+B,B,B is a good launch combo, I usually go into the ROM afterwards

Okay. One question I need to ask. What the hell are the standard conventions for this game?

I can’t wait for KoF for the 360. Hopefully it will have online. I fell out of this game because I just have no competition:sad:

Just finished all the Hard Missions, pretty easy in comparison to some of the other mission type quests in other fighters.

Damn, I still can’t beat some of them.

Which in particular? I breezed through 90% of them in a few tries, only a few I had to work at.

Missions 1-7, 9-3 and 7-9 for example.

Just whore the tap LP repeatedly move in a combo, hit her QCFx2+P when you have meter

Spam HP, HP, HP combo, just make sure not to hit it near a wall

I’m a Mignon user. My strategies for the kitty kitty!

Specials:

qcf+P (the fireball with optional explosion)

I don’t use these much. They can roll through, jump it, or back up to dodge it. Depends on who you fight and if they have trouble handling this ish.

DP+A (LP) (the instant water shield)

I use this a lot. It is an anti-air, absorbs projectiles, combos well, and has good recovery. If they sabaki/parry/guard impact, they get hit.

HCB+punch (the gust of wind sent forward)

Zoning and mind games if they think you’ll throw the fireball. Knocks them far away.
SAMPLE COMBO: d/f+C, D, d+D, then B, B, D xxHCB+punchxx

Supers:

Lvl.1 Meteor-
Huge damage potential if you can get them to not block it (like LVL. 3 super damage!)

Lvl. 2 grab-
Lp-forward+LP-GRAB (confirm that the punches hit standing).
ALSO, invincibility/priority over standing stylish moves coming at you

Lvl. 3 bomb-
For fun. Damage is good. I need a setup. Anyone got a good one?
