Alright everyone finally finished up the character analysis for everyone, I’ll repost it in the MIRA wiki so everyone can find it, but it’s on this page so check it out and comment on it

one of the big changes anyone will notice between mira and mi2 is that they fixed a lot of the slowdown, however you may still notice some slight slowdown in some situations, like during jiva’s fireball on some stages

Finally uploaded it, I tried to earlier and accidentally deleted it, but now all the characters are up, for real, lol, so check it out and comment on it. Need someone’s assitance with Mary though since I don’t know anything about her

pro : safe launching string, awesome reversals, can combo out of her mid/high reversal without having to super cancel, real counter avoids everything except throws, she can be a pain to fight if you’re character doesn’t have strings that start in duck (to avoid followups to real counter), followups to her moves available to her in escalation have air throw properties so they can be done after the combo counter resets for max damage without scaling, can mix up jump attacks with spider, easy wall game.

cons: not a lot of good SAs, hardly any mixup, high damage combos rely too much on straight slice, ranbu has no invincibility,

it’s actually best i think that everybody playing develops a main team, better to learn matchups and the like

sorry the kansai thing is taking so long but life-scrub stuff is kind of getting in the way…i really need a job -_-

But yeah, learning match-ups is one of the reasons I just stick with one team as of now. That, and I think the team I’m using is fairly solid. Ash is too good, lol.

yeah that’s true about the main team part, I’m still searching for another character to complete my main team which is Kyo and Wild Wolf, I was thinkin about adding Leona since I recently learned how to use her or add Luise since I’ve been working with her since the game first came here. Pretty sure this team will change once I get MIRA because Mizoguchi looks pretty cool to me

I don’t think Mizoguichi is a contender…

Why you might ask? Because Billy, Athena, Kula and a few others just obliterate him. I mean like Akuma vs Makoto with full meter in the corner obliterate.

Can Mizoguchi deal the damage? Sure. Big deal, everyone else can too. Maybe not quite as much, but what 5-10 points when your combos are consistantly in the 50-80 range on a regular basis?

Hit Mizoguchi with Billy’s 4C->super and look at the devastation. So many other characters are solid without the glaring weakness of his headband…why bother with him?

hmm, you have a point about the whole headband thing with Mizoguchi, and Billy already does ridiculous damage as it is. Guess I’ll mix up between Leona and Luise, depending on the matchups

goddamn my Soiree leveled way the fuck up, i can’t wait to demonstrate some of his crazy shit on people in january…his mixup game is waaaay too insane
i should have this Kansai vid in about 2 hours, then i’ll split up matches and put stuff up.
i don’t think Mizoguchi vs Billy, Athena or Kula is really that bad, he just has to play really smart and patient. everybody in the game has their fair share of bad matchups.

yeah like Luise vs. Kyo or Mai, she has no reliable way to keep them away from her, even with meter, because those two don’t need to jump in order to get in, so her light sword super and her lighting blast level 3 are out of the question. Her only hope is to probably try a reversal DP or Minuet of Damnation but those can be baited so she’s screwed

Man, I’m dropping K’. He just doesn’t cut for me. Easy damage? Sure. But that’s it. He has nothing else. And no one. NO ONE will actualy be stupid enough to place him 3rd to sit on meter for Crimson Starlord. Chances are if K is 3rd on your team, I bet you have at least 1 person that’s better than him. Luckily my main team is :Kyo/Xiao Lon/Ash is that order.

I might assemble a second team though. However 4649 is right. Besides it’s hard enough being good with Xiao Lon…

added the Kansai quarterfinals through finals, and a really nice piece of MI2 promotional combo footage that went out with the promo disc for the Kanto and Kansai tournies leading up to Tokyo Game Show. features some combos you might not have seen before, plus Clark and Ryo’s infinites ( that may or may not have been fixed in MIA? ) and B.Jenet’s throw tech trap. you can all thank me later by going to January C3 Mad House event and having enough people there for a MIA tourney ( probably wishful thinking on my part :V :V :V )
