He seems to be not quite as good as he was in 2k6, but it might just be that everyone else got a bump…

Thoughts?

I personally think he got a little better, scarier mindgames as a result of having stupidly good autoguard on his unblockable hit, soooo hard to read him now.

i think he sucks honestly… all this autogaurd stuff… unless there is more of him than that… then that can be easily be beaten

Unblockable? or running command throw?

If he finishes a chain combo, hit ‘D’ for power-up. 1 power-up give you a juggle move, 2 power-ups gives you a 55 damage, L1 combo for NO meter.

Blocked chain combo? Who is going to try and punish with free autoguard + unblockable?

6,6+A on wake up? It beats almost every wake up super you might try to use.

what’s really stupid is how the powerup and the unblockable animation’s startup look identical and that you can cancel the first one out to make it safe on block

I really just started learning him in a serious way this week.

Any advise on essential combos or is his game more the “You have less than a 1 in 4 chance of guessing this mix-up right, fuck combos” game?

I’d try to running grab every opportunity against Mary, unblockable only on her wake ups, and use L3 counter super against Spider.

That link is poopin on me Syxx. Also, that Lien divd kick thing does hit on the side as well so that combo was legit. If you try and dodge after she’s in the air, you’re gonna get hit and since I start it when they’re on the ground, it’s guaranteed for a block at least.

hmm, no recovery on specials? That is what I really care about. And also on normals though I already know which moves for my characters give advantage.

for example i want to know what is unsafe on block, most specials are, if you try to punish the incorrect ones you can get stepped and whiff, and eat a combo. I mean most characters I play I can punish with strings starting with a or b which are generrally 10-12 frames but i would like to see what you can punish with other strings as well without having to actually had experience with it.

Oh. On that same mixup, you can substitute the kick with a lp laser. If they roll or sidestep, you can hit them with hk to knock them back into the laser. I need to see what else can knock them back into the laser’s hitbox. I know lp,lp and f+hp dont so far.
