Hey guys, I have a question.
There’s going to be a tournament next weekend, and the guy running it loves MI2. Now, even though I don’t have a modded PS2 anymore, I do have MIA and offered to bring it. He said that from the vids he’s seen the game looks like trash…mostly it’s just Ash that pisses him off.
So, since I know many of you guys consider MIA far superior, I would like to know what reasons you would give to try to convince this guy.

but anyway imo it’s better because of the damage scaling and more techable moves. There are moves in the game that are untechable. Ash is real good, sure, and also very easy to play however he is sometimes predictable and also beatable.
I mean ya you can do 100% damage with him but you can with ralf as well. Does that make ralf broken? Many characters can do high damage, even low tier Mary. It’s just the higher tier characters don’t take as much work in the game. Hell, watch the a-cho kof the dueling 5th final, one team with ash on it, and they get knocked out. Maxima, Jenny, and Xiao are the real beasts in those vids.
they already have MIRA 2 in the works. It was already announced, so it’s time to move forward.

The main reason why MI2 is unplayable as a tournament game is the MASSIVE slowdown that occurs during matches. Do Billy Kane’s “Bash 'em over the head with a bunch of canes” super on the Nighttime World Festival stage and show him. Shit basically slows down to bullet time.
I haven’t played MIRA for more than about a hour total (I don’t have the game) but I do know that they fixed most of the lag problems. That alone should be more than enough to choose MIRA over MI2.
So what are the chances that this game will pick a major tounry scene, I played MI2 and I liked it a lot so I was hoping this game would pick up some steem. Although I will admit that this game seems to have some"MVC2" broken combos in it…I hope that wont scare away to many people.
i thought i was going to be sick to my stomach when i did Lilly’s reversal super in MI after playing MIRA. Truly painful to watch.
As for tourney scene, who knows. We’ll see what the numbers look like at NEC I guess.
