‘96 has breathtaking presentation and character selection, but constitutes the series’ all-time low in terms of controls, balance and gameplay. Its infamous “abuse X for block damage” factor also brought about the creation of one of the most entertaining FAQs I have ever read.
Choi’s Senpu Hien Shitotsu (Flying Monkey Slash, charge b, f+K, repeat direction +button x3)
“Most Effective: To annoy the opponent until he runs across the street to get some Advil.”
Iori’s 212 Shiki Kototsuki In (hcb+K “dash, throw to the ground”)
“If your opponent is like a Beevis (sic) or something and does this over and over just because it looks cool, jump CD’s will take it out easily.”
I like kof96 as well, certainly it is not a balanced game, but still enjoyable. and I started using clark from kof96 and stick with him for every kof released later.
