Ryo is a beast. i like to abuse the chain d + b, d + c to ldm combo. that thing is beastly. also rush people a lot, poke with standing b, f + a, hcf + b, sneak a sweep in when they get f + a paranoid. his jumping-in d has great priority.
Goro is all about knocking your opponent down, and using mind games as he gets up. alternate between the dm counter (hcf + b/d), sweep, the hcb-f + c command throw, or dp + d command throw. i throw out a lot of b and d to close in, and df + c (too bad no more follow-ups) when the opponent jumps. also be very alert and ready to do dm counter at all times.
I’m still feeling Ash out. basically OG guile right now.
My attitudes toward Leona since the first impression have changed for the better.
I find her the most effective as a leader because of the priority that her LDM has on catching people in the air. Not only that, but she has a safe recovery if she gets a blocked person. That said:

My three leading ladies from 2k2 still give me the success that I had before. I still have a bit to do with Mai before I switch her and Leona (Mai’s LDM being comboable is a necessary trait since I still haven’t figured how to combo Leona’s LDM.)
umm well, i don’t know much about shen woo, but i got a friend that is insane with him, i can get back to you when i talk to him. But there is 1 thing i know… that qcfx2 B or D super beats almost anything up close.
Also anybody know what is up with DuoLon? I hear he is banned in tornaments because of infinites. is this true?
Yeah,I heard DuoLon is banned from tournys too,if the official didn’t ban him,then they watch for the infinites. My last KOF 2k3 tourny,he was not banned,no one used him anyway:lol: Most ppl used Iori,King,Kyo and for a new character,Ash.
Yeah i went to a tourny and they sad they had him banned. My buddy was a little pissed cause he uses him, but i was ok. Most ppl i saw had Malin,Kyo, Shen, Ash, Jhun, Kim, Hinaka, and iori.
Anywaysi found a match video with an insane shen woo. He just tears a new hole. Almost an OCV!! Another one with a huge shen woo comeback, but he doesn’t win. BUT ITS AMAZING!

Shen is awesome. His command grab sets up for a nice tag- in combo too. And even without that he does some sweet damage. Leona is raw too. Although her moves are useless ass charging ones, they she is good for combos and has uber priority on normals, considering how slow they are.
I encountered a cheap Tazoc last night,I have one tip. Learn how to dodge well. I had to learn to do that myself. He had a good Marlin too,not used to that. It’s so good to play against other ppl and different characters,you learn more.
In terms of Daimon, it has to do with knowing the priority of your character’s moves. Daimon has good range and priority in his hits, but they can be renegotiated to his disadvantage. It involves psyching the opponent out and baiting him or her with some decoyed move.
Kind friend, with your opponent, you have to get him out of his comfort zone and make him do careless things. You know that once that comfort zone is lost, the game shifts into your favor only if you can capitalize on the game’s shift.
Like Queen said, dodging will be an essential to learn. I need to do that as well. Dodging will help you weave in and out of him like you see myself do with Leona. You’ve told me that your answer to aggressive players like myself is your Kyo. I think that he might be able to help you against patient players. It just takes practice, execution, and trial-and-error.

umm… 1 thing about bar switchout (if thats what they’re called?) Most people have a combo that they can do if their switch hit hits, some people can juggle in the air (like Ash), but mostly some can combo on the grand. I know with Kyo you can do:
c.B, qcf.D, hcb.B into qcf-hcb.C
Its a pretty damaging combo. I also have seen a gato combo in the corner. (he hits flying kick super 2 times with something in the middle) Shen woo can also combo into super.
umm… some people can setup for switchout combos. Malin can lay a yoyo in to the corner, she switches out, Terry comes in doing kick-buster wolf, opponent would bounce off yoyo so you can do Terry’s Leader. I am not sure if this works cause i saw it written somewhere. But I wouldn’t doubt tht Malin can setup some crazy combos with her yoyo’s.
I know everyone has either seen his fury or heard about it but it’s time someone does a guide on Duolon. He maybe a character that you can master in 10 mins. he may be broken, and he may be cheap but lets face it he’s a top tier.
With Duolon he is all about vicious attack, he is fast and strong. His bread and butter combo is s.C>QCF a/c> RDP B> j. B.D this combo does good damage and is a major ego killer. If you start the game off with that combo your opponent will most likely to get frustrated or scared either of which is good. Also this combo moves your opponent really far, if you do it at mid screen you’ll be in the corner by the time it’s done meaning that you can either do a c.B or his command grab HCB-F a/c and do it over again! The most effective way to get out of the coner against a good DuoLon player is either a wake up uper or a super jump, both are easily avioded and countered.
DuoLons combo abililty is insaneso switch it up every now and then. another good combo is s.C>QCF C> QCF C> QCF C>QCF B> F.B in this combo the QCF B is his AWESOME teleport. When you do his teleport if the opponent is in his range he will either land in front of then (b version) or behind them (d version) depending on with you press.
Now after you’ve pummeled your opponent he might become a turtler blocking at the other end of the screen and attacking only after you’ve made a mistake. in this case I will do DuoLon QCF x2 A super (must be A) and right after teleport and you’ll be on the other side tix it up between low and high hits to break the opponents guard or do d.f D.D with this move DuoLOn does a qucik LONG range low hit then a quick upper region kick. After the first the opponent will be tempeted to jump and attack only to be snuffed by the 2nd kick.
If you’ve heard any news about kof you’ve heard someon either talking about his ridiclious infinite. It’s not very practicle you must be in the corner, then succusfully switout to DuoLon then you run forward and c.B>QCF C>f.B>HCB C> over and over. or the HCB C is super cancelable if you connect his HCB x2 a/C it does massive damage.

Duolon’s all right. I prefer him to the other evil woman incarnate (Malin). Duolon requires practice, and I’d see more people using Malin to get easy wins. Such a waste of a character. I liked Choi better than this psuedo-pirate kid.
