[KOF 13] Saiki Thread

just wondering wht teleport u guys use when u pop hd qcb.D when your back is to the wall/less than midscreen. i tried using b but i sometimes he doesnt recover fast enough to dp or i use C and he’ll randomly crossup on the teleport.
this problem i have has gotten o the point where i’m too afraid to use hd combos when i’m not at the corner/almost at the corner. not sure wht my midscreen combo should look like though. been doing c.Bx2/3 qcb.B+D dpp.Bxxqcfx2+B neomax combo, but there’s gotta be a better one/one that doesn’t need 3 meters

Np Sung. Saiki doesn’t have much for complicated HD combos midscreen. A good basic one for 3 bars would be this:

J.A/J.D, C, QCB D, Hold C, QCFx2+K (double check your distance so you don’t get crossed up), XX Max Cancel final hit.

The best you can probably do for 2 bars is the same combo but after C teleport do: DP B~C (hd cancel dp to C fireball), XX Neo Max.

Saiki unfortunately just lacks the moves to do a lot of corner carry or juggle far without the corner, so the best bet i’ve found so far is to keep your Midscreen HD’s extremely simple and take neomax damage asap. Keep in mind i haven’t experimented a ton with this.

if youre midscreen you can do a midscreen to corner juggle with qcb+BD (A) run , dp+D xx qcb+D © dp+D qcb+D get to corner and do dp+B xx qcf+C and do whatever you like,

Hadn’t thought of using the EX kick Torta, good call. I’ll have to experiment with that. I wonder what kind of damage you can get using the extra bar there.

you can kill :3 when you get to corner do whatever you do in the corner, with 4 bars i can kill, with 3 i can do 922 and 2 8xx

Just started the arcade mode and doing as much target actions I could, Saiki appeared, I won the match and unlocked the achievement, after that I closed the game (back to xbox live) and started the game again.
I have the achievement that saiki appeared and I won the battle, but cant see him in the character window oO? What did I wrong? Ive read that I dont have to end the arcade mode.

I was fooling around on training and “discovered” these:

From the middle of the stage (can be also done in corner)
Note: Any Jumping attack beyond Jumping CD can begin this combo!

  1.   J. D + Standing C + QCB D (Hold C) + DP B xxx QCF C + QCB D (Hold D) + B – B + DP D (Hold D) = 462 Damage & Half drive cancel
    
  2.   2. J. D + Standing C + QCB D (Hold C) + DP B xxx QCF C + QCB D (Hold D) + B – B + QCFx2 = 542 Damage, half drive cancel meter and one meter
    
  3.   3 J. D + Standing C + QCB D (Hold C) + DP B xxx QCF C + QCB D (Hold D) + B – B + DP B xxx QCF C + QCB D (Hold D) + B – B + QCFx2 B or D = 657 Damage, full drive cancel meter and one meter
